what am I in for?
>>743261791funthe sequel is a clusterfuck
Depth diving kinoLOG2 sucks so don't bother with it. Just play the extremely atmospheric LOG1.
circle-strafe combat if you like that sort of thing
>>743261791a fun little dungeon crawler. i played through it with 4 minotaurs and brawled my way through everything. only got seriously stuck once because you have to pick up a spell to continue, which i didn't think to do since spells were useless for my group lel>>743261943>>743261947wtf i thought i was the only one who despised grimrock 2
>>743261943>>743261947>>743262180beyond filtered, 2 is a hundred times better
>>743261791I have no idea but there’s one LoG song I listen to a lot and it kinda makes me want to play w/e this game is.
>>743261791Fun and cubes.
>>743262180>>743262231I didn't spend all that time escaping just to end up in a bigger dungeon.
>>743261943>>743261947>>743262180what's so bad about it?
2 is kino. Do not let yourself get biased by two retards who happen to post in the beginning of the thread.
>>743261791looks like "grim rock"
>>743262317https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ5bp6tGMj4Oh it was the main theme. Pretty fucking kino.
>>743262547I mean you need to play 40-60 hours of LOG1 (without looking into custom modules) and see if you're interested in more of the same.
>>743262589That would be three retards, don't you dare disclude me.
I have no idea what's with the hate for 2, it is an upgrade to the first game in every way for me.
>>743261791A pretty mid dungeon crawler.I'd recommend skipping that one and going straight to the sequel. Legend of Grimrock 2 is in my top 10 games of all times. It's such an improvement over the first one.
I get why someone wouldn't like 2 due to it being open and huge, unlike 1's linear level by level progression, but 1 by itself is kind of a mid game.
>>743263719>>743263725Cope levels have maxed outLOG1 sold a ton because the genre was dead and there was nothing like itLOG2 was a total flop disaster and killed the studio because it was literally more of the same.
>>743263989>Sequel was bad because it was more of the same!!!Huh
>>743263989LOG1 sold a ton because it got a ton of journalist coverage(and people bought it in a humble bundle but never played it)LOG2 flopped because it got zero journalist coverage/marketing
>>743264204Well yes, it's literally more of the same. LOG1's modding kit (which I made some custom modules for) even makes me wonder why they even made LOG2 to begin with.Just to explain, Diablo 1 is a great game. Diablo 2 is not just Diablo 1 but more, it's an entirely different beast that you can only understand if you play both.>>743264317>but never played it)More people have beaten LOG1 than LOG2>LOG2 flopped because it got zero journalist coverage/marketingWell maybe DO SOMETHING WORTH HAVING JOURNALISTS COVER IT THEN, RETARD
>>743261943>>743262180Damn there really are contrarians for everything
I don't get why people dislike the second one. I enjoyed it a lot more than the first. Is it the puzzles? There are like two or three bullshit ones but I found most of them reasonable. Most of what I remember from the first one was spending half of my playtime scanning wall textures for hidden buttons. That still exists in the sequel but it's way less common.
>>743264478>More people have beaten LOG1 than LOG2Because it sold more.>Well maybe DO SOMETHING WORTH HAVING JOURNALISTS COVER IT THEN, RETARDThey made a way better game but that can't be used to write headlines like "genre revival"(journalists don't even play videogames)
