I mostly like the hero personalities in Dota 2 but IMO Deadlock's are significantly better on average despite being an unfinished game. One big reason is that the conflict is more clearly defined so characters can have actual motivations for what they're doing. Also the background lore is more connected/coherent in Deadlock whereas Dota 2 has a bunch of random shit (mainly because has to rewrite shit from Warcraft 3) with a handful of actual character connections.

I mostly stopped playing a few years back, but came back briefly when Largo released. Running around a teamfight dropping heals, damage boosts, and half second haste was way too fun, even if it was usually pretty useless.

Shadow Fiend looking more like a vague energy guy rather than the horse skull seemed to fit better with him in Valve' opinion.
