I didn't care for Dark Souls 3
I'm more of a DeS guy myself where you just select one of five areas from a hub and progress linearly in said area.
>>743268205why?
same. I bought it but I dropped it soon after fighting that first guy in the pool
The Dark Souls trilogy has ONE good game and i'm tired of pretending it doesn't.
Ds3 is embrassing
>>743270139DS3 sacrificed world design in favor of more elaborate enemies and bosses, and more complex moment-to-moment level design. Game was rushed as fuck so in terms of priorities it makes sense to prioritize the things people are more likely to remember (big setpieces). Sekiro and Elden Ring had more time and resources put into them so they didn't have to make the same trade-off - they effectively made DS3 obsolete. Also Bloodborne isn't that far off from DS3 in terms of linearity but its level design and bosses are much weaker on average.Basically they should make Sekiro 2.
>>743270329Nothing in ds3 is complex at all. It is without a doubt the most shallow in every single aspect. Kill yourself rollspam short sword faggot
>>743270329>elaborate enemies and bossesYou can just spam dodge for like all but 2 bosses.
>>743268205Same, but I would be a filthy liar if I said it was because of the world design - the second they started designed around fast-travel it was a big case of "who gives a shit". The game is fucking ugly outside of Anal Rodeo.
Dark Souls 2 fags should be killed in all cases
Waiting for Dark Souls 4.
>>743270705Undead burg and the depths are the most beautiful areas in all Souls games but not in the way you think
>>743268205>Conveniently leaving out DS3's two DLCs in order to get his points across
>>743268205What this chart omits is the fact that most DS2 levels are boring linear hallways. While DS3's levels are more intricate and filled with shortcuts in the style of ds1.A mostly forgettable DS3 level like The Cathedral of the Deep shits all over 95% of DS2's areas. It isn't even close
>>743268205This image is disingenuous
