Deep down, he knows that even if the Courier was irresponsible, it was the NCR that doomed the Divide and that's why they have to go. He is a very interesting character, shame he got meme'd when New Vegas gained cult status, I have a feeling people who played at release understood him better, aside from the meta aspect he brings to the table that got developed better over time.
>>743272882Well he is a tribal who expresses and communicates through symbols and metaphors, he tries to grasp some meaning in this chaotic world by trying to make sense out of why and how pieces move across the chessboard, not very different from how religious people try to perceive seamingless random acts as signs that points them towards a path. I think he is a very well crafted character for the setting in which he exists, a lonesome courier who has to figure things out on his own without someone to guide him down the road (after all, his whole tribe was killed when he was young).
