That's pocket change for globo homo.

>someone is trying to sue them
>that means they are wrong and are going to lose that money totally definitely guaranteed
lmao
keep malding

For Sony, it's exactly one Concord and about 80% of one Marathon.
>>
>>743276138
This lawsuit started last year
>>
>>743280326
it's not exactly one concord. concord was 500mil, plus change.
so this is a 95% concord

>>743277524
good li'l snoygger cattle. be sure to buy those cod re-releases like the dickless slave you are

This is like when Apple removed the headphone jack and got all the hate for it, look at where they are today, the biggest phone seller in the world.
>>
>>743276138
Nothing ever happens
>>
>>743281014
your math is wrong.
its closer to a 1.05 concords (105% of a concord *had they released an update*)

Playstation (not Sony) will have to pull out of Europe and Brazil (who are also sniffing around for free money).
>>
I would probably be pissed too, if I would still play modern games.
>>
>>743276138
Lmao no they aren't. Ceo sold half his stock, dude is going to bounce in 2 years just before ps6 releases and flops hard.
By then they would have lost more than 2 billion on dei games like intergalactic and horizon hunters gathering. Hopefully they go bankrupt after that but I doubt they will
>>
>>743276138
Sony has $457M lying underneath a couch cushion somewhere. There'll just pay the settlement fees and then continue fucking you in the ass.
Real punishments don't exist for major companies like them.
>>
>>743282196
>2 billion
Rookie numbers. Bungie and Marathon are still burning Playstation money every day.
>>743282284
After Holland, Belgium. Then every other shitter that wants a payout
>>
>>743281716
That's because Crapple was selling to narcissists and retards, Sony is only selling to retards.
I'll also come right out and say it: the loss of the headphone jack is worse than the loss of console discs. You're angry about the consequences of renting someone else's computer, not the loss of disc-based media, it's not like there's anything analog on these discs like there would be on vinyl.
>>743281813
I hope they don't pull out of Europe and this increased scrutiny causes the EU to actually be consequent about their citizen's right to resell perpetual digital licenses for software (established in the Usedsoft vs. Oracle case: Principle of exhaustion applies no matter if the download was a physical data carrier or via the internet). I wonder how Sony will react when the principle of exhaustion applies to all their games and they now have to actually enable it, rather than just awkwardly looking away from the used discs market.

Everybody needs a phone, nobody really needs a console. The PS6 will likely be around $1000. You are competing with PC manufactures at that price. Consoles were perfect for kids and people who were tech illiterate and Sony just handed those people off to Nintendo with this decision.

Sony likes to not mention their high digital sales figures largely come from digital-only games

Doesn't matter. The amount of money they will squeeze from the snoyim is 10 fold whatever amount of money they have to pay to kill physical.
>>

what seems to be the playbook next gen is the ps handheld while monetizing the massive ps5 install base as well as selling a more niche, high margin ps6

think of ps5 as regular models, ps6 handheld as entry point with more modern features like the SE and a high end model, ps6 home like the pro max
>>
Already cancelled everything with sony, I wish them well in their future endevours.
>>
>>743276138
who cares if they back down? there's no gaems

You, uh, you sure about that? They're set to piss a LOT of people off with this; killing physical on the PS5 carries the implication they want the PS6 to be digital-only, and that's not getting into how little fiscal sense a PS6 is going to make with plateauing graphics thoroughput, rising costs, Sony's own addiction to losing massive amounts of money with AAA games as Herman Hulst quests for Sony's own Fortnite. (For reference, apparently Minecraft funded the near-entirety of Xbox's stupid decisions up until very recently. It did not fund the Bethesda or Activision-Blizzard-King acquisitions, those came out of Microsoft's pocketbook.) The EU is climbing up their ass with multiple digital-storefront monopoly and antitrust lawsuits currently, of which OP's is only one coming from Denmark. There's another implication from the recent AI glazing that they're gonna turn their Blu-Ray printing plant into an AI datacenter, pissing off even more people.

They don't have infinite money, even though they like to pretend they do. They threw a shit-ton of caltrops in front of themselves to stomp around on with this move.

the ps5 is the most profitable console in sonys history
>>
>>743282626
>it's not like there's anything analog on these discs like there would be on vinyl
There are literal websites that document this info that prove you wrong. Over 2/3rds of modern physical games are still playable without an internet connection. Games like Expedition 33 and Hogwart's Legacy that need massive 40 gig downloads are the exception and not the rule.
>>
>>743283735
Still no gaems.

>>743283735
Normalfags and leftards aren't people.
>>
>>743283782
>>743283857
what does it have to do? on ps5 you could play almost everything out there without having to use a pc
>>
>>743283737
And that would still be digital data.
There is not an analog recording of a sound on a console disc like there would be on vinyl.
