I was about 30 hours into 2 (first time playing it) when they finally announced the upgrades. I've shelved it for now since I want to experience the best possible version. The update comes out on my birthday so that's nice. I just hope they have learned something from the X and XBC1 upgrades and 2 gets something that is definitively better, without drawbacks of dodgy upscaling or inconsistent performance.
