The market faces a compounding problem: hardware that's either too old or too expensive for consumers.
I don't Get it gaming was a Huge and profitable industry, AI still isn't ?
>>
Because the long game is people renting their computing from data center holders. First they buy up all hardware, build all the infrastructure. Then they keep the prices too high and OEMs go bankrupt. Last they'll sell some cheap hardware with too little specs and AI/computing subscriptions. That way they'll own all data about you and you'll be dependent on them.

AI is just the trojan horse in this scenario that allows them from their shareholders to enact this industry buyout.

it will be even worse next year

Stop thinking rationally and it makes sense

Stock market bubble vs real economy, stock market always wins.

I doubt the Switch 2 will be noticeably affected but Xbox has been dead for years and we've already seen PS5 sales collapse after the latest price hike.

>consoles decliining in sales at the latest stages of their lifecycle
crazy, never happened before in history
who fucking cares? anyone who could afford one and wanted one already bought whatever console they need,
keep coping steamiemutt
>>
is this the latest PC Tranny cope thread?

get back to me in November/December after GTA VI has launched and both PS5 and Xbox hardware sales have exploded

I’m lukewarm on GTA personally, but to bet against it is the most retarded position to take possible, nice demoralization attempt though

I can't believe Xbox and Playstation died in the same generation

>mfw getting a series X soon
a little too late, but I do need a console where to buy physical (as much as possible) and replace my old as fuck one, and i'll just hold onto it like dear life
I will build by steam/GoG library as back up little by little, and guess emulate whatever impossible to find

Series X isn't great for physical, PS5 is better.

Sony has fuck all customer support here, by all their faults xbox has amazing customer support here

All my IRL bros I actually play online with are on xbox, otherwise I would indeed move to ps5, but im going full pc and switch2 otherwise, with xbox on the side for anticheat bs and physical

You will have access to half the games. Legitimately, most Japanese developers do not release physical copies on it at all, limited run stores typically ignore it in favor of Switch and PS4/5, and even western games aren't always physically on it. Hell, some "Series" versions of games are just the Xbone version in a new box but you still have to download the Series version.

It truly sucks ass if you want to get any physical games on it let alone actually play on it where screenshots corrupt your instant replay and screenshots don't queue so you just get this error for 5 seconds if you take them too fast, and they auto-delete from your system if you don't have a flash drive or external plugged into your system 24/7.

PS5 has been getting worse as well. The last 2 AAA releases were just download codes on disc

People have plenty of money to buy components. Average US income is $65k. What makes you think that'll change?
>>
>>743296275
Who will buy a laptop for $5k when two years ago it cost $2k?
>>
>>743293936
Even so, you're still regularly able to find limited runs without issue on the PS5 or Switch 1/2, iam8bit and Fangamer releases are a coin toss if they even publish a game on the Xbox (Case and point, Hollow Knight and Silksong are getting on-cartridge versions for the Switch 2 and PS5 but no Xbox version for the OG Hollow Knight even though Silksong is getting one), Japanese games are still constantly releasing on Nintendo and Playstation platforms (Albeit you need to go with Asian or Japanese copies if you want them on PS4 nowadays) whereas Xbox doesn't even have basic things like the Kingdom Hearts games physically, and even brand new games from the west are a coin toss if Xbox gets a physical. Mortal Shell 2 for example is PS5-physical only, no Xbox.

You are shooting yourself in the foot if you think physical on Xbox is going to be the way to go unless it's the only option you have.

Pc and pc components sales are also expected to go down. Its almost as if higher price results in less sales...

>>743296903
People have less and less money as well...

A mid level gaming laptop is like $1k.
