Last good sony console
>>
...was the PS2
>>
>1 tiny awful joystick
How is it good?

My ps2 is bigger than that, but it is the fat version
>>
I always thought the UMDs were pretty cool despite how inefficient it is compared to a cartridge.

Your ps2 is bigger than a handheld console? Wow!

Handheld console? The last good sony console was ps2, it's not very handheld

I'd say the last good one was the Vita, but PSP did have a better library overall.

best emulation console ever for all portable systems up to that point if you mod it

>favela model
>>
I have this model, done me a great service, still works great, though the battery will get drained completely and reset time/day etc if I let it untouched for too long.
Question; For anyone having played in all the models, does it make a difference? Like, do the previous models feel "better"? More sturdy, better buttons, etc? I know the screens were different, and the wifi/connectivity stuff.

What favela are you from?

>advertise a littany of 3d games on your system that typically include free camera movement
>no right joystick
are nip hands specifically designed to find the claw grip comfortable for extended sessions
still a bit surprised that it sold nearly half of the amount of units that the DS moved. 80 mil's nothing to scoff at, but i'd figure that its status as a fairly innovative portable multimedia player would've bridged that gap a bit

Same "favela" this guy's from.
Also, next time, don't waste a fucking reply if you're not intending to answer the question.

I can only answer this question in regards to the 1000 and 2000 models I had when I was a teenager. I don't know about the other ones.

The 1000 is sturdy as hell. Extremely durable. But it is chunky and heavy. Downside is the D-pad could be oddly nonresponsive in some directions, but I managed to fix it by opening the system and putting a thin piece of plastic cut like the dpad underneath it. Otherwise, I have no real complaints about the build quality.

The 2000 is the flimsiest feeling handheld I've ever owned. It feels like a cheap McDonalds toy compared to the 1000. Dust would get into the system easily and onto the internal screen, which meant it needed to be opened for cleaning regularly, and I had to replace the joystick like 4 or 5 times, which I can only guess is due to the dust problem. The UMD drive hinge is only held in place by two small sticky pieces of rubber which can fall off, making the mechanism become easily misaligned and needing to be reset, which i eventually didn't bother with since I hacked it and stopped using UMDs. The build quality is honestly unacceptable.

But I would really recommend to just get a Vita if you can. The buttons on the vita are a lot smaller though, but if they feel okay to you, I would recommend it over the PSP. It can do everything the PSP does and is easily hackable through the web browser. You can even load the actual PSP menu on it, so it will function 100% the same.

Based. Andrew House hated it, but there was a bit of that old Playstation soul in this thing yet.

>Popular enough that every kickstarter game put it in their stretch goal
>Fell off so quick nobody went through with the promise (also different environment and programming language/constraints but whatever)
Sony was winning the handheld war but absolutely zero support and publicity made us end up with Nintendo.
And i don't know if this is a positive or not.

>bundling LittleBigPlanet (A game where the main feature and draw is being able to build and upload your levels online and play other people's levels) with a version of the PSP that has no wifi

Why?
