There’s just way too many games releasing this September to avoid GTAVI, but they will end up fighting themselves for sales
Which ones are you getting? And which one do you think will come out on top at the end?
>>
>>743301132
Wolverine will be the absolute winner.
Fire Emblem will be a close second
Control Resonant and Silent Hill Townfall will be flops.
>>
>>743301504
This but I don’t think Control will flop, it will break even at least
>>
Wolverine obviously. Everything else will probably flop. Silent Hill might do ok as its probably low budget streamer slop as its a first person hide and seek game instead of a proper horror game.
>>
>>743301132
Probably fire emblem.
Vulvaurine is ps5 exclusive and ppl are mad at sony. No remedy game since Max Paybe wonnered anything and Silent Hill N rides on the coattails of f which in reality was a Siren title about why japs can't procreate. Which leaves the tendy title.
>>
Dawn of War 4 for me.
>>
>>743301132
Don't know why, but this Wolverine always brings his Revolver art to my mind.
>>

>>743303215
He looks weird
>>
>>743301132
the most generic looking trash so wolverine
>>
>>743301132
Me, because Control Resonant is coming out.
>>
>>743303446
everything in these modern AAA looks weird to me
>>
>>743301132
Silent Hill Townfall is dead on arrival, and it seems like no one cares about Control Resonant.
>>
>>743301132
I’m just gonna save my money for GTA so I’m not buying anything from there but if I’d have to guess probably wolverine since it seems the most popular game here I guess
>>
>>743301132
If you get the Deluxe edition for Ace Combat 8, you get it 3 days early which means it would be in September.
My pick is gonna be Ace Combat 8
>>
>>743301132
Only game i care in this is control resonant. Don't care about marvel slop, jrpg slop and silent hill
>>
>>743301132
I'm getting DoW4 and AC8, they are two weeks between each other too which is nice.
>>
>>743301132
None of those. Dawn of War 4 and Star Wars Zero Company are going to mog.
>>
>>743301504
>Fire Emblem will be a close second
Fire Emblem engage didn't even sell 2 million copies.
Meanwhile Control is over 6 million copies by now and Silent Hill f is over 2 million and Silent Hill 2 Remake is also 6 million.
>>
>>743301504
>>743303035
Fire Emblem is going to bomb super hard. Nobody owns a Switch 2 and the last game was terrible enough to kill most people's interest.
>>
>>743301132
What a retarded image. Onimusha and Dawn of War 4 are way bigger games than three of those options, and will sell as such. Wolverine will sell the best of them all I'm sure.
>>
>>743303035
Fire Emblem is 80 bucks for the physical
>>
>>743301132
>Games that will sell according to their budgets
Fire Emblem
Silent Hill
>Games that will astronomically flop in sales according to its budget
Control, Remedy never sold a single copy of any game ever
Wolverine, According to the Insomniac leak their dev costs must be in the 400m before marketing now and Wolverine is far from the iconic kiddy bait that Spiderman is.
>>
>>743301132
Wolverine and Fire Emblem will do great, Dawnwalker will do pretty well though far from Witcher numbers, Silent Hill and unfortunately Control will be overlooked.
>>

>>743301132
The only September game I have on my wishlist is Blood of Downwalker, which looks like a 5/10 Witcher 3 clone I might skip altogether if the reactions are bad. October looks much more promising.
>>
me by spending 0 dollars on vidya that month.
>>
>>743306132
>>743306676
Fire Emblem is not going to sell. It's exclusive to a console nobody owns.
>>
>>743307291
That means it only has to sell like 10 copies to meet sales forecasts. Huge success.
>>
Most of the September releases look terrible. Onimusha might be good but i'll pirate it. I'm gonna buy Fortune's Weave, Trails in the Sky 2nd and Culdcept Saga
>>
>>743307291
The collector's edition sold out in a day
>>
Wolverine is going to be terrible woke slop but it will sell extremely well. I'm expecting it to be in the top 5 best selling games this year.
>>
>>743305303
Fire Emblem is a franchise that always sells regardless of the game's quality due to being a pure Nintendo exclusive.
That alone guarantees it wil be one of the best sellers of 2026.
>>
Beast of Reincarnation - Aug 4th
Sinking City 2 - Aug 18th
Mortal Shell 2 - Aug 20th
Star Wars Zero Company - Aug 27th
Plague Tale Legacy - Aug 27th
Blood of Dawnwalker - Sept 3rd
Onimusha Way of the Sword - Sept 4th
Wolverine - Sept 15th
Silent Hill Townfall - Sept 24th
Belmont's Curse - Oct 15th
Phantom Blade 0 - Oct 29th
GTA6 - Nov 19th

What games should I drop from this list?
>>
Shame that control went away from psychic powers to being a bland dmc ripoff
>>
Of all the upcoming games I've only preordered Ace Combat 8.
Shill me your most expected upcoming game; I'm open to everything but WRPGs, Rpg maker RPGs, roguelikes, sports, shooters and pure visual novels.
>>
>>743303215
>Logan Busey
>>
>>743301132
I'm probably going to buy Ace Combat 8 at full price and Resonant in a couple years when it's on a deep sale with dlc.
>>
>>743301132
what the fuck is this toxic sludge of a lineup
>>
>>743308585
Star Wars Zero Company. Its from former x-com devs. Its basically just xcom but in the star wars universe. I dont even give a shit about star wars but the xcom devs usualyl make good games. Even their marvel xcom game was good. Midnight Suns.
>>
>>743301132
Wolverine is gonna shit on the rest
>>
>>743306740
Did you play the Valor Mortis demo?
I had a lot of hope for it since I loved Ghostrunner but the demo kind of punctured that.
>>
Best selling games this year by the end of the year will be:
GTA6
Wolverine
Resident Evil Requiem
Phantom Blade 0 (huge china audience)
007 First Light
>>
>>743308881
The only one in the list of upcoming games I'm even vaguely interested.
>>
>>743308414
All but Star Wars and GTA6. The rest of that slop will be either $20 or less in no time or not worth playing to begin with.
>>
>>743309235
Belmonts Curse is actually launching at 30 bucks.
>>
>>743309289
My point stands. Looks like a $15 game at best.
>>
>>743309040
It depresses me how of my favorite games of 2026 most of them bombed
>Ninja Gaiden 4 DLC, Fatal Frame 2 Remake, Code Vein 2: bombed so hard they made Highguard look successful and killed their franchises for good
>Ground Zero: went unnoticed, probably bombed
>Nioh 3: only one successful but only barely
>>
>>743307678
No it isn't, because Nintendo games don't sell when the console they're on didn't sell. There are no "best seller!!!" Switch 2 games.
>>
The silent hill game looks pretty good but they all really look like they want to be bought on sale next year.
>>
>>743309337
You have absolutely horrible taste, that's why.
>>
>>743309235
Even Blood of Dawnwalker?
>>
>>743301132
Trash vs garbage vs shit vs poop.
>>
>>743309408
Yes, definitely. No idea where hype for that is coming from, it looks like bargain bin shovelware.
>>
>>743301132
Fire Emblem is overwhelmingly better than western slop
>>
>shit
>shit
>shit
>shit
it doesnt matter, we wont win
>>
>>743309342
See
>>743307556
The game already sold gangbusters.
Those games are always massive sellers even when Fire Emblem's is one of those fanbases (like the Neptunia one) whose fans openly acknowledge it has no good games.
That's how strong the Nintendo brand loyalty is.
>>
The onimusha demo was really bad. It completely turned me off the game. I had planned to get it day 1 like I did with RE9 and Pragmata but now I wouldnt even play it for free. It just felt extremely boring to play.
>>
>>743309406
I know. That's the other main reason I stopped recommending / talking about games.

Still I loved those games and wanted more of them / like them.
>>
>>743308881
I was interested in it but then that trailer for it ended with anakin and now my interest is dead because I can smell Filoni's stench around it
>>
>>743305303
>>743307291
>Nobody owns the fastest selling console ever
>>743309040
You forgot Crimson Desert and Tomodachi Life
>>
>>743309601
>it doesnt matter, we wont win
We are about to win. This is catastrophic for all the studios for all studios invovled. Each of those games is 5 plus years of dev time and a hundred million dollars or more all about to be forced into a single month competing for the same paypigs
>>
What will be good
Control 2 == Blood of The Dawnwalker > Wolverine > Silent Hill

Commercial success
Wolverine > Silent Hill > Control 2 > Blood of The Dawnwalker

>>743309472
BoTDW graphically looks as good as any AAA releasing that month, and gameloop-wise (quests cost time, vampire powers at night, vampire vs human morality schtick, quasi optional boses) looks like soul
>>
>>743309643
If there's a higher difficulty setting with enemy aggression turned way up from the punching bags they were in the demo it might be good.
>>
>>743309953
thats the best case scenario
sadly millions are retards
wolverine have billions of blind fanboys , same with silent hill. so i expect both to sell enough
dont expect shit from control and dont know hows fire emblem fanbase
>>
>>743301132
there's simply too many games in the market, there needs to be a culling!
>>
>>743303035
Internet rage means nothing to normies. Hell, lots of E-Celebs who got mad at Nintendo over Switch 2 bought one anyway.
>>
>>743301132
I'll prolly buy the Nintendo stuff. Some games this year will probably flop though because they can't compete
>>
>>743310080
Consoomers don't have infinite money or the fiscal responsibility and self-control to make blowing a couple hundred dollars in a month on vidya possible with a few months preparation.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think all of those games are going to suffer, Wolverine the least because it's a big name but none of them will meet the expectations studios had and all will have steep discounts within the next year.
>>
>>743309901
wtf is Tomodachi Life
>>
Silent Hill is low budget so it will do fine. It probably only needs to sell like 1 million copies to make a profit. Maybe even less.
>>
>>743301132
In terms of sales? Wolverine.
In terms of critical reception? Fire Emblem Or Control.
In terms of "still being talked about years later"? Fire Emblem.
In terms of being "the Streamer's darling"? Silent Hill. (horror always does well here)
>>
I'm betting on Blood of the Dawnwalker
>>
>>743309625
Stupid nigger take.

Fire Emblem sells because the state of srpg is fucking grim
>>
>>743301132
Wolverine easily, but with that stupid marvel deal it won’t make much money. Fire emblem will either be a second three houses or a second engage, and with IS writing it iirc I sadly think the latter is more likely. I think control and silent hill will do ok but won’t be super popular either, I think they’ll just kinda come and go like their previous games.

>In terms of critical reception? Fire Emblem
Not a chance
>In terms of "still being talked about years later"? Fire Emblem
Double not a chance
>In terms of being "the Streamer's darling"? Silent Hill. (horror always does well here)
Not an important metric, but it's because women love horror but are too scared or lazy to play it for themselves so they just watch Jacksepticeye play them.
>>
something about wolverine doesn't look right, i have no hype for it
>>
>>743311975
It reminds me of a generic 7th-gen action game.
>>
Onimusha will win September and DD2 will win October. Capcom is unstoppable right now. Everyone else should be ashamed.
>>
>>743308414
You forgot Ocarina of Time Remake and possibly The Duskbloods
>>
>>743309040
>shitmerine outselling RE
Delusional. Also mecha chameleon already is #1 until gta.
>>
>>743301132
control is the only one I'll play

wolverine is another generic aaa capeslop
fire emblem is dead to me after awakening
silent hill downfall, well f was shit and this looks worse
>>
>>743311975
Not enough blood and gore in the actual combat (cutscenes seem to have it) and it looks like it'll be an extremely linear 15-20 hour game at best. Also the demo they showed last month was a literal copy of the convoy chase scene in Uncharted 4.
>>
>>743312615
>Control
>Made by the worst dev on the list next to insomniac

Lmao ok
>>
>>743312750
Remedy is way worse than Insomniac. Control and Alan Wake 2 are the worst games this board memed me into playing besides Crimson Desert.
>>
>>743311975
Because it's a linear game with simple "press X for awesome" combat. You could watch a playthrough on YouTube and probably not miss anything.
>>
>>743310626
>In terms of critical reception? Fire Emblem
I don't know, when it comes to Nintendo critics have been more odd than usual. Some of their games are super great yet critics gave them low reviews like Yoshi
>>
>>743314418
Reviewers are finally giving Nintendo's low effort garbage the scores they deserve.

It's better than the competition is doing, anon.
>>
>>743314883
Not even a little bit. The delusion of you Nintrannies is embarrassing.
>>
I have no time
>>
>>743301132
No one cares about Fire Emblem.
>>
>>743301132
Lets see we have
Ugly game
Ugly game
Persona, but ugly IIII: The fifth one
And ugly game
