It's a good thing that every console is turning into Steam when you think about it. Steam has games from 20 years ago that are still playable. Meanwhile I can't even play Silent Hill 1-4 on PlayStation 5, and these games were literally synonymous with PlayStation back then. Still no way to play Melee on my Switch, a first party Nintendo title. It's ridiculous when you think about it. I'd get a better PlayStation/Nintendo experience emulating on my PC than actually using the consoles I bought. Games take forever to make these days, and I can't even play old classics.
>>743307730>all consoles will become a PCwhy bother making consoles in the first place?
>>743307815Because consoles are and always have been ecosystems. You buy a Nintendo console because you want Nintendo games, you buy Sony console because you want Sony first party ga-Oh wait..
>>743307730No Steam doesn’t have games from 20 years ago. Lots are missing, RC-Lazer Warrior, Tank Universal (original version), Combat (the infogame), Textix, etc.Stop your nonsense propaganda now.
>>743308025>games nobody has ever heard of, everFor all I know, you could've just invented those games out of thin air. Why doesn't the latest Xbox have Booty Busters 3: Big Black Dildos edition?
>>743307730But none of these consoles are turning into Steam. You have no control over your console if it is connected to corporate servers and you can't deny them access. >>743307815Vendor lock-in.
>>743308285>You have no control over your console if it is connected to corporate servers and you can't deny them access. Plenty of people just disconnect from the internet. It's not really that hard. You have to connect to Microsoft servers when you use Windows too.
