You know, this was inevitable.
Over the course of eight years of updates for f76, a massive amount of assets has been accumulated.
Weapons, clothing, decorations, buildings, and so on.
It’s only natural for Obsidian to use these ready-made assets to create a new Fallout game in a short amount of time.
This will significantly speed up game development and save money.

That would be powerful

Oh yeah? Well what the hell is taking them so long then
>>

Sounds like a great idea since there's tons of stuff in 76 that deserves to be in a real game.

Are they already going mask off and admitting they're going to have to hire modders since they're too retarded to figure out the basic black bitch editor?

76 had the most new assets that Bethesda has ever made for a Fallout game so of course they would use them.
This also means they're going to use FO4's engine for the game which is very good.

76 looked like actual dog vomit when I tried to play

>extensive use of F76 assets
aka fallout 3 assets
same gamebryo slop for 25 years

Good. The movement of 76 and the UI feel good. The fact they didnt use shit that was on 76 for Shitfield was ridiculous.

Is Fallout 76 an mmo like TESO? Teso isn't that much liked but it is also not that much hated. Why is f76 hated so much?

I hope no one actually thinks this is going to be good after Avowed. None of the people who worked on New Vegas are still there.

>None of the people who worked on New Vegas are still there.
That's literally untrue.

whats wrong with this

Can anyone explain the appeal of fallout? I didn't grow up with them and never got into them, 1 and 2 seem like cool games to try but I never understood why this franchise became so popular. Is the story or the gameplay THAT good?

It's an actual fallout game just with open world quests that keep popping up kinda like FATE's in ff14. It's also fully multiplayer. People hate it because it's launch was a meme. Unironically though it has the best world and enemies of any fallout game. More random encounters too and some real weird ones that come and go with patches maing them more mysterious and cool. Writing sucks though and the quests are hit or miss.

I hated it because it suffered from extreme server lag for a very long time. Like I tried playing it a year apart, and every single enemies teleports, stutters, there's bad/no hitreg, etc.

It might seem funny now that Fallout is so goddamn popular and post-apocalyptic vidya is hardly original today, but originally a very big part of its attraction was its rather unique theme and wordbuilding combined with strong RPG elements. In 90s, most RPG games were sword & magic fantasy, so a gritty post-apocalyptic world with dark comedy was a really refreshing thing to see.

Then you got the later skyrocket in popularity since Bethesda took reins of the series and everyone was anxious to see Bethesda’s newest game.
