Can someone recc comfy games about living your daily life in Blessed Nihongo so I can daydream about living there

This game is what its like to live in japan. Drink every night because your boss forced you to go to a drinking party, then shoot yourself in the head because all you do is work.

(source: lived and worked in Japan)
>>
The truth is that if I actually lived in Japan and worked there, I would get the same weird looks from girls and when trying to join in on conversations with peers, they'll not properly understand what I asked, and I won't understand what they said, and do a double-take, and then it gets awkward, and then they start talking behind my back about "that guy is weird" and then I'd get depressed and feel like I hate people that remind me of those co-workers who didn't like me, or the girls I fell in love with but couldn't talk to, who never thought once about me as much as I thought about them.

The fact is, if I lived in Japan, all those same things would be true, and then I would begin to associate the country of greener pastures with yet another place where I didn't belong, and then I would feel crestfallen.

Huh, but I already live with my younger sister and we sleep in the same bed every night. Never understood the appeal of that game.

Roomania #203 I guess.

What about the Toby Fox/Pewdiepie types, the millionaires who are not required to abide by the salaryman culture? How are they viewed in Japanese society?

I don't know, try visiting. Mine is more of a daydream mindspace about being japanese and growing up there, not expatting.
Sounds like your match is more like the Philippines where there's enough cultural alienation to not perceive autism but enough cultural closeness to still relate quite easily.
>>
>>743313750
How about you become a billionaire first and then ask yourself that question
>>
>>743312773
That's not Japan though. Also why did it get review bombed?
>>
>>743312410
Why is it always
>daily life
>...as a girl
? Are you some kind of pronoun creature?
>>
>>743314167
I never said it needed to be a girl MC.
It's just a cute retro gif I saved.
But yes I'm a woman irl.

Post tits.

Persona 4 is peak weeb escapism.

No, the one time I did that they ended up being posted everywhere.

So? It's just a disembodied set of tits do they look weird enough to make you identifiable or something?

I live in Japan. Rain in this place isn't comfy. There's a reason why I bought a dehumidifier and have it running 24/7.

Never played it myself but it looked fun-ish.
Personally I just watch silent japanese vlogs to vicariously live through them. I'm also re-organizing my life so I can afford to move there 3 months a year, every year. Some anon from the balkans around here gave me that idea.
With a remote job I could go there for full visa duration, enjoy daily life as a "tourist", then come back home and prepare to do it again next year. Never have to worry about japanese work culture issues.
>>
>>743316115
thank you this looks promising.
Did you visit at least once already?
I've lived in Japan, Tokyo Roppongi around the Sakura times. But travelled all around the place. It was really a life changing experience there is something special about that place.
>>743315974
can you just shut it, I'm not a tranny, not that it has nothing to do with the thread

nta, I'm not resentful about it but I was just as much of a social lost cause as back home when visiting nippon
honestly they have their quirks but if there's anything the years have taught me is in general people are just people no matter where you are, for better or worse
>>
>>743316115
>move there 3 months a year,
Unless you are loaded, this seems expensive. Hotels are not cheap. Or what is your plan for housing?
>>
>>743316729
There are some stupid cheap hotels out there, but you'll mostly be getting what you pay for.
>>
>>743316891
Shared houses are cheaper: Sakura House, Oak House, Bamboo House (I hope you like cockroaches and mentally ill people,) or join Facebook groups for people renting out rooms. Airbnb is not what it used to be.
>>
>>743317060
>Sakura House
Ah! I used that company for my staying there. It was cheap and economical, they were polite and understanding. Although that was years ago.

Yep, though only for 2 weeks. Very nice place and I'm really jealous of all their small conveniences. Their supermarkets have way better pre-packaged meals than what I get in my own country, for cheaper prices too. It's a paradise for people living alone.
>>743316729
What I have in mind is the places where you can rent for a whole month or two.

Ah! A warm memory of mine is walking to the nearest Family Mart to get fried chicken or Bento.. at 1AM.
Unthinkable here.
Such a cozy place.

sadly not, I failed to back them up years ago after I came back home. However I lived literally here down the road from the Irish Pub. Back then 2 Amaerican girls were living on the upper floor. They were quite pretty and outgoing but I never spoke to them

How long did you stay and what were you doing there? Just a vacation or study/work?

Yumeutsutsu and Sea Bed if you're ok with yurishit.
Yumeutsutsu does a good job of depicting Kouenji (Tokyo) and how it feels to live there.
Sea Bed I don't know the location but it's all about day dreaming in country side resort to escape from work for a week.
>>
I don't understand why people idealize japan. At the end of the day it's a country like any other with its own share of problems. Besides moving to another country is rarely "better" because you will be treated like an outsider in many ways, especially if it's a different culture.
If you want to see Japan so bad it's better to plan trips there rather than a full move.
>>
>>743312529

My Japanese dentist told me that if Japanese men come home on time, their wives accuse them of being bad at their job and are unpopular or else they would have been invited to drinks and karaoke after work. So some men kill time for a few hours then go home so their wives think they're popular.

Other will go to a karaoke place after work all by themselves to practice so when they're invited by their coworkers and boss, they can impress them with their karaoke skills.

Shit is very fucking meta.
>>
>>743316647
This. If you can't deal with roundtable sarcasm in work breaks, you're going to have a hard time finding a workplace to call home any country you try to live in.
For me work has been about finding the most "anonymous" thing I can do without having to talk too much to colleagues, and then I dread those 12pm breaks where you have to sit and follow social cues while you're also mentally drained from the work itself.

This is meant to be where people relax between work and recharge, but for me this is where I know the next moment happens where I go full Chibi "I'd really prefer if you'd be quiet" and then feel like shit and have lingering flashbacks to the cruel thing someone said to me.

It's why I always end up with 1 year of NEETing between work, if I can make it work. I can work in bursts. I get too exhausted. And the idea of going out kills me. Doesn't matter which people they are. As you say, people are people, no matter the culture. In the end you'll always have to rely on self-betterment or people who aren't cold towards you if you can't keep up with their level or whatever.

I realize I'm not even matching several people's shared experience here. I'm just saying that for me, life has always felt like this, and I thought I would age out of it, or "find someone like myself", or "move to a country where people are different than where I came from", and I always just find that it's like "Different geography, same shit; different culture, same shit."

You only begin to idolize foreign cultures IMHO because you're consuming snippets of parasociality in whatever movies or anime you see, and then imagine that you could be one of the 4 people or characters sitting at that table, but then you end up sitting at a table like that with someone, and it's just pure anxiety and pure shit and you ruminate when you try to sleep about the "argh why the fuck did I say that thing, and then they just stared at me and left me cold, now it's all they associate me with"

around 3 months and I was an "exchange student" on a special programme.
I didn't learn anything but experienced the late winter, early summer, and finally the sakura season.
It was quite traumatic for my body but quite unique to witness how the surroundings changed with the seasons.
It gifted me a new appreciation for Animal Crossing, I wish I could have seen more.

A special thing I remember are tiny quiet graveyards hidden away in alleyways, and small Shinto temples again, hidden away from the busy streets.. you just... stumble upon

it has an unique atmosphere, but I agree that 90% of people idealising it are just terminal weebs

I don't hate weebs but they bother me because they don't understand this simple truth. It's just a fantasy. japan isn't the answer to your problems.

Natsumon and the Shin-chan games.
>>
>>743319645
>dread those 12pm breaks
Me too. I would just go to my car and drink which is probably worse for my social standing but I don't care. For all they know I call someone during my break which I did do at least half the time.

Can I just add how much that shit is full of high school drama even if you do go to the break room? I had a female co worker that liked to follow me around. We never showed pda or did anything weird but in the break room she got me food and she sat down next to me. Next day I'm getting dirty looks from people. I later found out they thought I was hitting on some young girl. She's the one who brought the fuckin food. I didn't ask her.

>>743320507
Yeah, it's so fucking stupid. There's so many weaklings at work who are overly self-conscious and wanna put it on others. Just started a new work recently and got so depressed the first thing I hear is someone gossiping about a guy that quit a month ago, and how he was basically a loser because he said some turn of phrase in a retarded way, and then they cringe-laughed about it with each other.

Motherfuckers just gotta mind their own business.

>>
>>743321619
That sounds annoying as fuck. I've always just thought if someone says something kind of weird I just brush it off like "oh haha yeah I get" and move on. Let the weird people get used to socializing. If you write them off immediately how are they going to learn? The best work environment I've ever experienced is an all male kitchen. Complete silence when we were working unless actual communication was necessary. During downtimes we'd joke around obviously, mostly calling each other fags for doing something wrong. But it was so different. Any workplace full of women is just noise.
>>
>>743323315
IMO that's the problem with larger corporations always advertising their workplace as "A youthful and energetic environment." Then they hire people that just graduated or people who are still studying and doing part time, and it invites these 21-year-old types of people who are still stuck in actual high school mindset and enabling that kind of mentality at the workplace.
>>
>>743323421
I get that but then there's the issue that they don't hire new people without experience. Either way it seems kind of fucked. I don't know the answer but I do know if I ever have enough for my own business I'm hiring mostly men and see how long it takes for woke media to get me cancelled.
>>
>>743323773
Where I live you can't do that. There's a rule that above 10 employees you're legally obligated to have a HR department, and there's a work-policy regulator that checks every other year, and can decide to let the state sue them if you don't have HR or gender-quota shit.

The whole "woke" period wasn't even cultural. It was the Brussels effect taking roots in america, and Ursula's Gender-Quota idea reaching overseas, and threats to all tech companies and chat platforms to ratify Terms of Service that puts minorities under protections and enforcements like permanent bans being required against hate speech or discrimination etc.

This is why Discord became infested with tranny moderators. It's why Reddit became infested. It's why GenZ trooned out en masse, and now that everything has started to slide they're shifting from letting platforms enforce bans to letting police enforce prosecution over reported violations of TOS on sites like Reddit,X and Discord.

We're starting to see who the enemy is IMO.
>>
>>743319380
I don't agree with this assessment. I always make a bunch of friends when I visit Japan, with foreigners and natives. It's a totally different atmosphere to Europe where everyone's a cunt and doesn't speak to strangers. But yes, the work culture is horrific.
>>
>>743324570
So 9 employees or less it is. I know a guy who fixes electronics on his own. He has 5 other friends that he met at trade shows so they're not technically his employees. They sell retro electronic shit to rich people. He made half a million last year.
