Hi /v/, I want your take.I have a specific use case for a second, tiny pc that makes it to where no prebuilt will generally fit. I already have a higher end proper pc for gaming at home, and I have been getting by with streaming from my main pc to an RoG Ally X plugged into a monitor.A Steam Machine would actually work in my situation and Valve sent me the purchase email, but after googling, I might just by an XG Mobile 5070ti and plug that into the ally x instead, especially since I already use big picture mode on it anyway.Price would be about the same since its the 2tb model steam machine, maybe $100-ish more for the XG Mobile. Streaming would still be done either way for the most demanding stuff, and it would be 1080p gaming regardless, but having games not be in 30fps is my big concern

>>743313234For me it's a used 5750g, used 32gb ecc ram, 512gb nvme + 2x 2tb sata, a 5070 (colorful), and a 400 flex psu. Put it all in a cheap sktc a07 case, and it's good enough for me. You can also upgrade the gpu whenever you want - I was running a 3060 (zephyr) before. And most flex psus don't have a on/off switch, so you might want to buy a c13 to c14 extension cord with an integrated power switch.Slightly bigger than the cube (4.3l vs 3.8l? idk how big the cube is), and a lot less hassle than most mini pcs with power bricks and gpu docks.
>>743313234Unless you REALLY like the form factor of the Steam Machine and are okay with it being an overpriced, underpowered, unupgradable cube, you shouldn't buy it. You're literally better off buying anything else.

I recently bought a second one off aliexpress to work as a nas/router/ap, so I'm pretty sure that particular model is still available. But you don't have to get that particular one. There are loads of 4l cases, and most are much better airflow-wise than the one I'm using. But the a07 is cheap.If I was wearing your shoes though, I think I'd get the xg mobile 5070 ti. No point getting another computer if you don't need it.But if I was in your position, and not wearing your shoes, I'd get the cube - I don't really have any hardware compatible with the xg mobile 5070ti, so it's really just an expensive accessory ti the rog ally and nothing else.
