It's hard to put into words, but she's just totally different from the Karlach of the rest of the game. She just seems so...lifeless. And it makes sense since they have no souls. The only thing that works against this characterization is if you turn yourself into a mindflayer and die in the ending, withers meets you in the fugue plane and speculates that maybe mindflayers do have souls after all. I love cRPGs to death, and I often replay a ton of them, but BG3 is the only game in which I inevitably get bored like a third into act 3 and quit.I think it's the fact that gear in BG3 is extremely fucking boring so except a very few select items there's nothing exciting to find. And also because you usually hit max level early into act 3, so the gameplay doesn't really change anymore for the remainder of the game.Act 1 is 10/10, act 2 is 8/10, but act 3 is 5/10 at best.
