GameStop has already been like 50-60% toys and merchandise for a long time now. In 5 years they'll probably be 90% merchandise and 10% Switch 2 game key cards.

They've been collecting "retro" trade-ins for very cheap for decades. Unless they already pawned those off, they could fill a number of stores with used retro games.
You do realize that 90% of gamestop's sales are trading cards and other collectables these days right? Gamestop wont even change when they remove physical.
