I watched a 12 hour video on Morrowind and it was sold to me so well I finally played it and I really like it. I've replayed it probably a dozen times, played with TR, done all the classes I can think of, etc. Same happened with Daggerfall, except only about 4 hours.
Either way, I put way more time into both games than I did watching the videos. I think it can happen to other people as well. You hear about a game, but it can take a lot to really sell you on it.
