Doomguy could probably single handedly stop a planet from getting exterminatus by being a one man chaos and/or xenos perge. But he's not going to BFG his way out of some Tzeentchian realm where Euler's number is 69 and photons are a sentient fluid. He might be able to beat Nurgle's super AIDS 1 thru 14, but maybe super AIDS 15 featuring Exponential Ebola from the Africans must die series will eventually slow him down, especially since it directly infects the soul.

It is possible to be a completely enraged psycho and not really feed Khorne, but you generally have to be someone like the original Emperor's Champion Sigismund, who becomes so dead inside that he frightened Kharn of the World Eaters, or an Ork. A bog standard Ork filled with the joi de vivre that can only come with a good scrap is at least as good at resisting Chaos as the arch-fanatic marine.

You can't shoot Khorne, you can shoot an avatar of Khorne, but Khorne is a concept, not a living thing. Why would a good become material when it exists in an immaterial realm?
The thing about doomguy is that he has a clear alignment, he goes for the lesser guys who are getting fucked sideways by demons. In 40k, he would have no one to align with because in theory, he'd be great material for the Grey Knights, or hell even Custodes. But then Doomguy would see how Grey Knights operate where they slaughter the innocent survivors who lived and witnessed chaos and he would not have a friendly time with the GK's anymore (would he kill ALL grey knights? No, but he would kill the squad he was working with). Doomguy would try to fight for the imperium generally as some roided up guardsman but then he'll see how the imperium as a whole treats the commonman and his ass would start b-lining straight to Terra and have a "sharp" conversation with the high lords. Or even if we go the xenos side, the Eldar are no different from the Makyr, same deal with the T'au (ethereals would end up being the reason doomguy stops fighting for the greater good or just accomplish little by sticking with Farsight's army) and Necrons who'd use doomguy as target practice cause nothing in Doom has hit doomguy like a necron gauss rifle that starts ripping the guy atom by atom, though i could see Trazyn the Infinite being a funny guy and hand him War in Heaven-era BFG40000, Honestly the only faction doomguy would get along is the Orkz, and even then i'd argue they'd have a fallout the moment he sees how Ork treats their humie prisoners, but even then the fallout would be fighting Orkz and Orks love nothing more than a good scrap and Doomguy will be the one to give them the greatest scrap ever, if not straight up have Doomguy become Doomgit and become the first ever humie warboss and lead an ork fleet to fix up the 40k universe (Aka war of the beast 2.0)
