I like itA lot of Ace Combat, good and bad, is at least 50% spectacle, and 5 leans on it the most leading to low lows (Solitaire, Final Option) but also really high highs (Sea of Chaos, ACES, The Unsung War, as far as penultimate sets of missions go they're unmatched)Even if it doesn't always work gameplay or writing-wise and the other games certainly did things better, the devs clearly put a lot of heart into their experiments with missions and storytelling and you can see a lot of that DNA in the later games, so even the parts that don't really work are still interesting enough to play throughI can see why people can hate it, I certainly think Kill Rate is abhorrent, but it deserves its place in the trinityAlso Nagase is cute
