Chris Avellone's here with the hard truth!https://x.com/ChrisAvellone/status/2077179032337281090>Because this keeps getting mentioned and the comparisons aren’t fair in some instances, here’s a list of New Vegas development team and if a Y/N if they still work at Obsidian.>Note that Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, two of the three founders of Fallout are also there (last I heard), so that’s two strong pluses, even if they didn’t work on New Vegas (both worked on Outer Worlds 1 and 2).>So: Of the 73 developers, 16 still work at Obsidian, and in key roles. Tim and Leonard are also big pluses. >Repeat mentions of a name were marked with an "X.">George Ziets is at Digimancy is on Avowed 2, so technically he’s a “no.”>I did not include any administration personnel or Bethesda personnel (notably Additional Writing, which had a lot of Bethesda staff who wanted to add writing to their resumes and we didn’t mind).>If anyone has more up to date information, let me know – there were a few I couldn’t verify. And please double check my math, since well, I’m a writer.

>>743340161is this good or bad
>>743340285he's saying that a quarter of the New Vegas staff are still there and that Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky are there so they'll be fine.
>>743340285Well look at it like this >Cain and BoyarskyResponsible for OW and OW2>GonzalezWrote for Horizon>SawyerWhat decent game has he made since NV? There is no reason to hold out hope for any Fallout developed by Obsidian since it’s not the studio that made NV and most of the people responsible for it have not made anything decent since. You can say that’s cynical but given the state of the industry and these studios I think it’s just being realistic. I have no clue why the fuck these guys haven’t retired. They don’t see to have any passion and just sort of follow whatever. I mean for fuck sake they praised the fucking Fallout show.
>>743340285the leads are in, but most grunts got swapped
>>743341012>what decent game has he made since NVpentiment was his last game and it was pretty good.
>>743341012>What decent game has he made since NV?His most recent "game" was Pentiment, which I thoroughly enjoyed and even came out during Obsidian's OW era. I also enjoyed the first Pillars, but it's rough around the edges with all its purple prose and backer NPCs.
