Certain characters you just wonder what the point is it of them existing. Are they comedic relief, supporting members, antagonists, self-inserts, romantic interests, rivals, worldbuilding characters who dispense information etc. But what is the fucking point of Silver? What does he offer that isn't covered or done better by characters who predate his existence? What fans exist to even justify his own well...existence?

That's pretty much the only reason he keeps showing up. Forces is a funny example of this because Silver is just present without any real acknowledgment from any other charcat, and the only reason they included him at all is because that previously mentioned dev was the game's producer.
