This is rendered by the Switch 2's graphics card.I was fooled into thinking that this was a CGI cinematic specifically for the teaser because they didn't have in-engine footage ready yet.But I saw the opening to the OoT N64 cutscenes and realizee that this was that, but from the remake.

When it cuts back to real time in-game, effect are backed down to normal. This is what they do on games that pushed the boundaries in tech art, TLOU II for example. It's the same in-game model they used for cutscenes, but since it's close up, they can strip away processing in the background and put that available power into the foreground, better lighting, better textures, hand tuned animation rigging, cinema quality facialmotion, muscle fibers, eyeball twitching etc. It's still real-time rendering, but the case in point here is to introduce seamless standard between in-game realtime gameplay fidelity and cutscenes. We do not have this technology back in the day, where in game fidelity are on par with the cinema quality "CGI" cutscenes. Remember say, Dark Souls II? It had an absolute fucking kino CGI movie intro, we're talking world class cinema quality level, only for the in-game graphics to be shit, downgraded from trailers, and the animation and controls are abysmal and janky just like Dark Souls 1 and Demon Souls.
