>It's just a normal Nintendo game but you have to go up to the console and fuck around with the disk and flip it to Side B whenever you want to SAVE
Couldn't they have come up with mappers just a little faster and avoided all this shit

They ported it to the Famicom as a traditional cartridge a couple years later. It hardly matters.

Mysterious Murasame Castle was always stuck as an FDS game tho and that game's actually really good

There's no disk flipping involved in saving in the first Zelda. Side A is just for the title screen and items list; the main game + save data is on side B. You don't switch back to side A while playing. Maybe you're thinking of coming back to the game to play it later and it was on side B from the last time you played so you had to flip to A to start it?

desu I was thinking of Murasame Castle where I'm pretty sure you have to flip to save, or maybe it was just to start it but idk
>>
Are there any disc system homebrews?

Zelda would be a better series if it had more cute catgirls.

why are you complaining about something you will never have to deal with?

What else is /v/ for? Talking about videogames? Preposterous!

The Famicom cartridge port of Zelda 1 was released at the very end of the Famicom's lifespan in 1994, 8 years after the initial FDS release. It was exclusive to the Disk System when the console was actually relevant in Japan.

Why can causality unknown, bloons and palworld have what's basically a general
>>
What's even the problem here?
Just Proceed to flip your disk over to the other side.

1994? Damn son. Why even release it at that point? Who was the target audience who said "I really want a ram cart version of Zelda 1" more than halfway through the SNES lifecycle?
