Missions are much easier, much more railroaded, much more cinematic, and the game constantly tutorializes and holds your hand, and the RPG stat mechanics are basically pure fluff. I can see if you like III and VC just due to their arcadey nature, but IV and V are basically a straight across the board improvement from SA.
