Do regret not trying or playing Destiny?
Do you feel like you missed out on the grind, the loot, strikes, dungeons, and raids?

I had a lot of fun playing it despite all the issues it had. Now that its over it is kind of sad that there's never going to be another FPS that introduces a gamemode that you have to figure out how to beat with a group of players.

No, I knew it wasn't made for me when I saw that the ammo was called "heavy ammo" and the gauge that lets you do your class ultimate was called like "special" or something like that

Just seemed like a half assed attempt at putting out a WoW clone that didn't have to directly complete and cash in on some ez consolebro v bucks
>>
>>743350314
No. I never cared for how that game looked, and I don't even really know what the gameplay is like. It was always just one of those big games just outside of my periphery.
>>
>>743350314
I regret playing it
>>
>>743350314
Faggots would have been better off making Halo for their entire existence
>>
>>743350314
Nah, it was casual trash for mouthbreather who fear a real challenge.

This
>Get weapon
>Does 30 damage
>Shoot Fallen or something something
>Dies in three hits
>Get new weapon
>Does 110 damage
>Shoot Fallen
>Dies in the same three hits

It's a pretendo game

Destiny 1 was a magical experience. The campaign sucked but the raids made up for it, especially the taken king raid. Minimal perverted micro transactions too.

Destiny 2 is like its severely mentally disabled brother. Half its brain (content) is now deleted forever which is easily $400+ worth in total. Plus its a microtransaction infested disease where everything was made harder to encourage the absurd light grinds for tiny power improvements that are completely negated every 3 months. Its a tragedy really.

>>743350314
No and I'm glad I didn't
Frankly all those service terminations have put me off online worlds in general. Why am I wasting my time grinding for a game that could shut down next year?
>>
>>743350314
>Do you feel like you missed out on the grind
Do you guys ever read something and wonder what happened to the poster for them to become so fucking gay
>>
>>743350314
I played Destiny 2 on release at the behest of a friend cause he swore up and down that Destiny 1 was ebin.
The game was such a piece of shit, that ive never listened to a single game recommendation since.
And i really did try to like the game but I found it really hard when said friend outleveled and outgeared me cause he no lifed the first two days so I had to catch up solo because only after that he realized he had a job and we really couldnt play much at the same time.
Shit had left a sour taste, and i just stopped bothering the moment I hit cap.
>>
I regret being too shy to do dungeons and raids despite playing every other piece of content
I'm just to afraid to properly do my homework on mechanics or getting yelled at because I fucked up my role or something
>>
I played destiny 1 on launch and it was ass. The guns were fun but that's it. Taken king was better but it wasn't a whole new game.
>>
>>743350314
Nah I had fun playing it. I disagree with lot of decisions and some plot points disappointed but there wasn't a game like it out there for me; a co-op post-apocalyptic blend of sci-fantasy and space guns.
>>
>>743350314
Why would anyone care about destiny when warframe exists?
>>
>>743352226
Because you just run in hallways nuking every enemy for 20 minutes in warframe
>>
I'll miss Marathon.
>>
I have never in my life even considered the smallest chance of even trying this game.
In fact I think i neither watched any kind of gameplay nor even looked at its steam page for a single second

God I miss Escalation Protocol, Forsaken, Black Armory, and Season of Opulence so much. Most fun I ever had in Destiny 2.
>>
>>743350314
>do you regret not trying out a generic skinner box game
No.
>>
>>743350314
I tried out Destiny 1 at a friend's house when Peter Dinklage was still the robot.
I saw that the gun damage was based on stats and loot rarity and immediately dropped it.
>>
>>743350314
I had some good times with it circa 2019. Never messed with raids, just strikes, seasonal stuff, some pvp, and shitloads of wandering while listening to music. I wish they’d leave us an offline version with the original campaign and planets for old times sake.
>>
gameplay became insanely boring after a couple hours
health sponge enemies were obnoxious
story lmao
weapons just felt samey
>>
>>743350314
I regret not playing it more. I skipped a lot of updates that I thought were crap, but looking back on them now, they were actually pretty okay.
>>743354706
>God I miss Escalation Protocol
You think so, but that's not the case. Prior to Forsaken D2 was unplayable garbage. Even Forsaken was pretty controversial at times, with people farming random Lost Sectors for endgame loot.
>>
Man, I actually miss the Red War. Ghaul was a super kino bad guy.
>>
>>743350314
No.
No.
Okay. Get better taste.

forsaken was also the peak for me. I didn't like literally anything after that other than maybe europa? thats my bias because I generally always like snowy areas in vidya.

dont even get me started on the faggot ass seasonal stories from the last 5 years.
>>
The only thing I regret is giving Destiny a chance at all thinking that gass games could be good if done well. I've come to recognize that it was an incredibly naive way to think at the time.
>>
>>743350771
Halo literally died before Destiny kek
>>
>>743350314
Destiny isn't a game for /v/. To really enjoy it you need to have friends which is impossible for most of the locals.
>>
>>743350724
>the average Destiny fan experience
>>
>>743350314
I really don't understand what you faggots see in this absolute garbage.
The gameplay is slow.
There's no urgency for skill.
It's just stat-checks and holding down LMB on "heads".

I have never been more bored with a "game" before. Yet there are retards praising this literal garbage as the best thing ever.
Are you all just a bunch of mouthbreathing retards or am I just missing some important detail?
>>

>Do regret not trying or playing Destiny?
>Do you feel like you missed out on the grind, the loot, strikes, dungeons, and raids?
Every faggot I knew that played Destiny was this insufferable autist.

I did try it 2 years ago in my short-lived but intense simp arc.
I could have lived with not playing it, it didn't really do much for me, but it was still part of an important life lesson so in that sense I'm happy for the experience.

some of it was afk'ed so i didn't have to grind goypass and pay for cosmetics. you could afk-exploit a specific section in a dungeon because the ads kept respawning and farm bright engrams(cosmetic lootboxes). i had a fully automated macro that would tell me if I got disconnected and I could also ask the bot to take screenshot of my headless server to see if the afk was working fine. i was at my peak autism back then.

>Do regret not trying or playing Destiny?
>when majority of conversations about destiny was players whining about how shit it was but they couldn't quit due to sunk costs/addiction
>and devs openly talked at conferences about how they were actively ignoring their players requests so as not to set precedent for actually doing fucking anything
From the outside looking in, I can't understand why the fuck anyone stuck around as long as they did
>>
Have over 3000 hours in it. I regret 2000 of them. It was a chase of the good times and maybe things could get better but they just got worse. Or at best they didnt fuck up as bad as you expected them to fuck up. I should have quit when the rest of my freinds did.
>>
>>743350724
Yep. What a fucking waste of time, this was before I started doing more research into the games I wanted to try out.
>>
>>743350314
>go to a friend's house to see Bungie's new game
>character called Mr. Exposition spends ten minutes walking down the stairs but in a mysterrrrrious way
>"I could tell you about all these cool things going on that you don't know about"
>"but I won't" :^)
>"here's forty hours of the Dinklebot mumbling instead."
Destiny 1 could not have tried harder to tell me it wasn't worth my time even if it wanted to. My life has been an infinitely better experience because I knew better than to touch this trash with a ten-foot horse dildo.
>>
>>743350314
Glad I've played it before they deleted like 75% of it. The oil rig ocean planet was such an awesome place, I miss it. Very happy I didn't stick with it tho, buying keys to dungeon runs is insane and in general game is very disrespectful to the players.
