The jump from Diablo to Diablo 2 was huge. I'd even say if you only played 2, you should play 1.I don't feel the same way about Diablo 3 though and feel like it could be safely skipped for 4.
You just play for a week whenever a new season drops, same as every ARPG. Having multiple season cancer games in rotation makes it fresh.

It's fun to play for a week when a new season starts. There is plenty of build diversity and all of the classes are fun. The girls are pretty, too, I enjoy watching the way my crusader's hips wiggle when she runs around.
