I hadn't been paying attention to this because I thought it was a brand new game, but it actually sounds awesome. Not only is it a remaster of the two existing games, but also an adaptation of the anime series into video game form, as well as the previously Japan-only mobile game converted into a proper game. I'm glad that's starting to happen, there are some good mobile games out there brought down by the fact that they have to stick in all sorts of tedious bullshit like gacha and dailies, and always the looming possibility that the game is going to shut down and never be accessible again. So I'm always happy when they decided to convert it into something tangible and permanent like this.So yeah, essentially four games in one. Easily 50+ hours of gaming for the price of a single game. I used to kick myself for not having played these when I know I'd like them, but now I'm kinda glad I procrastinated so long on checking out this series because this seems like the definitive way to experience it.

The two console games have content altered and removed, Second Light gets new playable characters from the mobile game but with no story acknowledgement, the Ray (anime) portion recycles an area from Second Light, only adapts the last two episodes of the anime while summarizing the rest with stills and doesn't have battles. The Sun (mobile game) portion is perhaps the most fumbled as it removes the vast majority of the content i.e. everything but the main story battles while not changing the aspect series fans complained the most about, the forced male protagonist. Among the removed content are all the harem-style character events so his continued but neutered presence isn't satisfying anyone.

>>743358228It isn't really. It's a summary of most of the show using screenshots from the anime, then it picks up at the end when Hiori and Ruka go through the Common to find Shino and rescue Mio. From what they've shown and said, the Common is the same area from late into Second Light and there are no battles, not even against Shino (unless it's a glorified cutscene "battle" since you only have two characters and no chance to build them up before that). It sounds like it's an hour long tops.
