After playing through this, I can definitively say this is by far the standard what any REMAKE should aspire to

It's great. The added mechanics fit really nicely. I like how the remake rewards you for using multiple classes, weapon types, etc. over the course of the game.
That said the original is still fun. Sometimes the simplicity is appealing, and a couple of the remakes changes were negative (I don't like the armor system).
