When you actually think about it, are the GTA games even actually good? Good enough to be this multi-billion singularity that GTA6 has grown into?The gameplay is basic, the shooting isn't satisfying, the driving is mixed, the missions are mostly all similar "drive somewhere, shoot some guys, it goes wrong and there's a car chase or something", and the humour is mostly "British developers taking the piss out of American culture ten years too late" that mostly goes over the head of people playing it.And that's before you get onto whatever the fuck GTA online and the virtual currency and all that is. I mean I played it on launch for Xbox 360 and the online was pretty average but in the decade since it's morphed into Fortnite for millenial boomers.

Fivem showed what you could actually do with the game(both in a good way and a horrifying way,) so they'd have to be out of their damn minds to not take somewhat from that for 6's online, but we'll see what happens.Fast and Furious movies were all complete trash "objectively" speaking, artistically and technically and all that shit. But they were still popular as fuck and well-liked by a wide range of people. There's a lot more to being "good" than the mathematical sum of its parts.

I played Online on launch and then a year later. It was fucking shit and I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to play it for any length of time. GTA with co op multiplayer like what San Andreas had would’ve been a really cool extra, but GTA as an MMO is just a plain awful idea.
