When was the last time you upgraded your gaming monitor?
>>7433607492023, I'm looking to upgrade to an Oled monitor but for some reason they are all still shit.
this year, 1440p 500hz oledi'm holding onto it until they release my dream monitori've done my research, some calculations and measurements and something like a 4k 500hz oled with strobing would be my endgame monitor, i'll sit on it until that materialises
>>743360749I think it's close to 15 years. 1080p 144hz Gsync, why bother changing.
>>743360749My monitor is from 2014. It's decent enough.
>>743360749Bought a 4k screen in 2016.
Went for the first gen alienware ultrawide oled wqhd to the new lg 39gx950b 5k2k tandem woled.Incredible upgrade.
>>743360749>New Years Eve>Hisense Qled 55TV 4k 120 hzSome guy bought it off Amazon and refunded but they said he can keep it. Brand pretty much new got it for 200$
>>743360749I bought a QHD 120Hz 32inch one but it was too big so I rather use it as a TV while I went back to my 240Hz 20..idk how many inch monitor.
>>743362021fell for the g sync meme
>>743361972strobing isnt possible on oled, use bfi/elmb. if you want better motion clarity swap to a tn panel.
>>7433607492 years ago, I took the 4k 240hz pill and it's gloriousI'm looking to replace one of my 1440p monitors with a 5k or 6k IPS for when I have to stare at documents all day
>>743363603i'm never going back to lcdi'll just wait until a solution for improving clarity at lower framerates is invented
>>743360749Got a 55" LG 4K OLED almost 10 years ago. It's got a bunch of burn-in from the web browser and Elden Ring by now, but it's mostly visible with very even areas of certain colors. I should get a new one but all the possible candidates for the past few years have had idiotic stands, stuff like making the TV lean back a bit for no reason, or feet at the very edges of the screen making it too wide for my TV bench. They seem to be allergic to something solid and simple that just works.
>>743360749about 5 years ago. i grabbed a 1080p 180hz asus monitor and have stuck with it since it works well.
I’m going to be in the market for a new gaming laptop soon. Which ones are the best? I don’t care about size or weight, just performance.>just get a desktop lmaoNo>but they age like shitI don’t play the latest games anyway. The newest games I play are Red Dead Redemption 2, Escape From Tarkov and a couple of VR games.
>>743360749two years ago, and it came with a dead pixel. Since it was only one pixel, it wasn't covered by their return policy, so i've been using it since
>>743360749Been using a second hand one from an old workplace for almost 15 years. Still works fine why replace it?
>>743365419I upgraded my gay men laptop almost exactly year ago, after 7 years on my last one. From what I gathered Lenovo and Asus are the good ones these days, so I got a Legion 7. It's pretty good so far, no real complaints, feels pretty sturdy. Only problem I ran into is that it had 2 NVME slots, no SATA.
