I think this will be remembered as the last great video game. Almost everything about it is perfect an enjoyable.

How was your playthrough? what was ur first ending

I dont know. I think cp77 might be my favorite game but BG3 was still really good and that came out after it. I have high hopes for Witcher 4 still.
>>
>>743363772
I was playing with Phantom Liberty installed so my first ending was one of those, I didn't realise it was they actually meant it would be a full ending for the game rather than the expansion. I did King of Pentacles, I betrayed Songbird in Dogtown, then didn't let her die in Cynosure, and took the cure from Reed. Which was pretty bleak. Then I did the Panam ending, which was great but bittersweet, then I did Hanako, which was bleak as hell again.

I'm already bored with my second play through. End game sandivistan will trivialize any enemy, and I'm not even doing a sweaty build. Game could still work if there is a substantial role play aspect, but there is none.

Does the game actually get good later on? I played it for just under 2 hours and refunded it since I hated the fact that all you really do is follow your minimap from point A to point B, kill a bunch of braindead bullet sponges and go through some boring dialogue with people I didn't give a shit about
>>
>>743364902
No, these threads are made by 3rd worlders and shills who get paid to give it good publicity.
>>
Reminder that shazamfags lost and are still in every single thread for this game seething
>>
>>743364902
i hated it at release with the cutscenes and the voices. replayed it last year and played with female v which helped alot. i seriously cant stand the male va voice to the point i couldnt play it like that.
the game aged really well and i had a pleasant playthrough (dlc is great). can be very immersive jumping around the city with radio pebkac runnin. id recommend another try. after all it still is a bethesda like.

i like cybercunt 2077 but it’s only OK. main story is convoluted but that’s in line with the dystopian sci-fi / cyberpunk genre where everything always goes to shit for the main cast.
the open world feels VERY hollow unless you mod in dynamic gang activity and animated eating and drinking and other stuff to do outside of missions. that isn’t a plus point. “mods will fix it” is a cheapshit cop out. there aren’t any good repeatable quests/missions mods either as far as i know, so once you’re end game (done all the quests & side quests) all you can do is pick fights with gangs/cops and drive around, or El Capitan car thefts which are monotonous after like 10 of them. like fucking post-story GTA, there’s fucking nothing to do. i also STILL get the random civilian NPC just popping out of existence right in my view glitch even on a good SSD or unmodded install, really immersion breaking. also once you realise the “scenarios” of random NPCs (like the ganger trashing a vending machine, or the designated spots where people smoke in a corner) you can’t un-see it and that’s also very immersion breaking. the generic NPCs just feel like cardboard cutout set dressing.
that being said i’ve like a hundred hours in it because there are good missions and the combat is great. hacking is a kinda shit and very surface level, though.
>>
>>743364409
>then I did Hanako, which was bleak as hell again
The Devil ending is kino. I did it after Panam and Rogue ending playthroughs, thinking it would be the boring default ending but actually, it's the most different to both of those probably because it's likely to be the canon ending if that's to have any significance for future titles.
>>
>>743366975
I didn't have Takemura during the Hanakop ending, which probably made it less good. I expected him to turn up, I never realised you actually have to go back and save him somehow during the raid after you kidnap Hanako, I thought he'd just manage himself and reappear later. So it wasn't as good, because you're not helping Takemura take revenge, you're just helping Hanako bring her dickbag father back to life.

>>
>>743369463
It's for flavour and dialogue choices, like almost every other game in history that's let you choose a background for your character. At least you get a prologue.
>>
>>743370158
Coincidentally im playing dragon age origins right now, it wouldnt have taken much to sell it better. Even having like, a sleazy coworker sell yuu some good shit or some bum gives you a handgun, something to tie the origins in later if only once
>>
I'm still annoyed that the game shows you doing crimes with Jackie at the beginning in a cutscene. Instead of letting you do those things with him.
>>
>>743370350
You mean like a sidegig about your former colleague that you spoke to in the prologue trying to sell you out to the corporation to get back in their good graces after he gets kicked to the curb just like you were? Yeah, it would be great if something like that existed in the game.
>>
>>743366908
At least Cyberpunk got the Phantom Liberty story DLC. GTA5 made a gazzillion dollars, and Rockstar couldn't even be bothered to make a story DLC for it.
>>
>>743366908
>unless you mod in dynamic gang activity
What does this add? The game already has gangs randomly fighting each other and the cops.

> so once you’re end game (done all the quests & side quests)
You mean when the game is over? Then stop. Don't play the game any more, it's done.
>>
>>743363495
And it will eternally make 4chan seethe. Just like bg3.

I've started to dislike the origins at this point. They're not meaningful enough to be worth keeping, and the only one that makes sense is Streetkid anyways. For example, a corpo should spot the gaping holes in the Heist plan, and a nomad wouldn't have the same degree of mad ambition to take on stupid risk like that. And V sounds and acts like a streetkid 99% of the time anyways.
>>
>>743371791
It's a zoomer thing. They can't understand that the normal thing for a game to do is end. That eventually you played the game, you put it down, and you move on with your life.

>The game already has gangs randomly fighting each other and the cops.

No it doesn't. 99% of them happen in pre-placed spots over and over each time you go by, which is extremely immersion breaking and what his complaint was about. The open world has practically zero dynamic activity driven by NPC A.I, in vanilla cyberpunk the gang members don't even roam on foot (they stand still in designated spots 24/7) and their vehicles aren't part of the normal traffic, you need a mod to add them. There's a random event that can very occasionally spawns two gang cars to chase each other in some places, and that's it.

The mod he's probably talking about is Night City Alive, it adds gang vehicles to the normal traffic pools that spawn and drive around the city. This means the gangs actually come into contact with each other, leading to gang fights that aren't just happening in pre-placed spots like in vanilla. Trust me once you play with mods like this (there's others), you will never want to touch vanilla cyberpunk again.

Cyberpunk had the most embarrassing launch relative to its hype that's ever been seen. Beyond that, it was fundamentally broken and all of their patches and DLC didn't fix the core gameplay being bad. It's not a good rpg and it's not a good shooter. It has some attractive women that you can't fuck and I guess that's been enough for troons to spam threads with their fem Vs posing next to the redhead that gets killed.

It wasn't that great apart from a few setpieces in major missions
The open world doesn't have anything interesting. No secrets, superbosses, random encounters or anything like that. Also no activities like any other sandbox typically has
The sidequests are also not that great except for a few ones
The surrounding lore of night city is way more interesting than whatever is happening with V. Blue eyes, documents of why people can't travel through sea anymore due to the danger. The blackwall itself, etc.
The DLC is really good, the graphics are good, the music sometimes is also very god, but that's about it. Also the endings are really barebones too, and killing adam smasher just like that is very anticlimactic
Still a good and enjoyable game, but far from being "THE LAST GREAT GAME"

>>743370158
Its functionally the same thing as choosing your background in the Mass Effect series except in this case it also gives you a prologue.
I guess I can see why people are upset about it but there is really only so much you can do with a cinematic style action game like this. its pretty obvious they were never going to tailor design its entire main questline for each background choice you made which makes me think maybe they would have just been better off not even bothering as all people seem to do is complain about it.
Maybe they could have given the player different apartments, vehicles, or cyberware based on their start choice or something. That would make sense.

Inability to commit to any of it's gameplay options made all choices shallow in their execution. The game provides no challenge or real complexity regardless of if you play it as a run n gun, cover shooter, or Netrunner stealth game. Choosing the gig system meant most maps you actually do stuff around are relatively tiny. You choose your style of how to complete the gig and it's often over in five minutes. Base game has like two actually good maps with lots of options for how to approach the objective. Progression in your skills etc makes the game laughably easy because enemies don't really have an evolving toolkit to counter your abilities.

Certainly, there will be patch if second anime turns out to be successful again - new tracks from anime on radio, maybe again some outfits and references. Don't know about new big DLC with new story, though

You don't actually believe that, there's no fucking way. I don't hate it like most people do, but the dialogue alone makes it almost unplayable. Did it really need hundreds of walk and talk scenes? How much did Epic Chungus charge them for all those lines?

This game is as good as Starfield. It doesn't come close Deus Ex 2000 or my basic bitch favorite game of Mass Effect 1
