Tarantriss completely turns that around with the double jump and her grapple has no cooldown at max condense.So now she has the speed for your standard land mount (sometimes more with momentum abuse) but she also tackles most verticality you run into even faster than a flying mount. She's just so good and objectively cute.

>>743374756I'm 4 hours in and I don't understand the hype at all to be honest.All besides one or two of these pals so far have the same copy-pasted tareme/tsurime eyes, and feel very samey. The base building is also the worst I've ever experienced in a craftan buildan game. Perhaps a recent 250 hours in Abiotic Factor and an overall 1200 hours in Rimworld have spoiled me, but this just feels like a much worse combination of both. World seems really uninteresting to explore too. Maybe it gets better, I don't know.Also little quirks in the UI annoy me, like how you can't view pal information in certain screens (I believe it was the selling screen, but I'm at work, can't check).

>>743377396The core is still the monster collecting, the base building is a vehicle to make getting pals rewarding and then giving the enjoyment of watching them run around and do stuff. So you go out and adventure and catch pals but instead of just putting them in your box and never seeing them again except for the lucky few going into your party, you can have like 60 - 80 pals being used simultaneously to make up your production/construction/farming/mining/smelting/cooking/etc. crew. Also the extremely continuous upgrade number goes up stuff happening in 20 different metrics at all times. And all the movement mechanics for exploring with:Land mounts, grappling, gliding, flying, water mounts, momentum, climbing
