ah shit here we go again
that's what happens when you run linux
User issueNothing to do with the hardware

Be thankful for the 20 minutes you entitled prick
>>743369618>again>posts the same one article posted ad infinitumhave there been any more reports of this happening or just this one dude?
>>743369618"I'm sorry Gabe, I'm afraid I can't boot that"
I ran my ps5 on a really hot day, almost all day long, until it shut down on me and wouldnt turn on for like 20-30mins. Sounds like a safety feature. Why does the steam machine just melt instead? Wheres the shut off before damage control that pcs have already had?
>>743370249The red line is the shut off, they set max temp lower as a joke
>>743369618You need to wear programmer socks in order to use GNU/Linux the right way.
Industry standard for failure rate is 2%-5% so even if 1 in 20 steam machines dies soon after purchase that is inline with the console manufacturers and perfectly normal. Assuming Valve covers it under warranty, that is.
>>743370438>Assuming Valve covers it under warranty, that is.Didn't they do that? I vaguely recall reading about it
Didn't this get fixed by popping out the CMOS battery for a minute and then updating? Not like it matters outside of the 50 people who actually own a steam machine and aren't trying to flip it.
>>743370725it's quite literally written in the filename
>>743370725>>743370868fuck that. i dont want to pay a premium and then have to disassemble a proprietary device that i may fuck up putting back together just so it works normally. Ive botched putting controllers back together so miss me with botching a $1k device. Not to mention what happens if you do all that shit, reset the cmos and then it overheats in the next hour of gameplay? unacceptable
>>743371136you replied to me but i agree 100%
There is a reason the ps5 is so fucking huge and unsightlyjamming everything together in a little square is asking for heat problems
>>743369618No refunds, gabe already ordered 5 new yachts
>>743371250Anon, it was a CMOS problem.
I'll wait until they fix it in the second batch
>>743371250The pro is even bigger.
>>743370725>>743371136wasn't the fix just to take out the power cable out, press the power button and then plug it back up?
>>743371420It was a BIOS problem. Removing the CMOS battery means resetting the BIOS to default. It's probably now running at slower, safer settings or something.
Meanwhile: in reality>the steam machine is a useless gimmick for shills
>>743370000Whao checked!
>>743371818they want to play the sony game
Well at least gaben got a new yatch. So I'm happy.
>>743371250>he thinks indians designed consoles with coolinglol the ps and xbox both have meltys if you dont have them in wide open areas. they have practically no cooling at all and always overheat. its a big empty box bro, it gets warm after 20 seconds of use and stays warm. learn what a radiator is.

Half a tera of space for a literal thousands bucks is insane
The steam machine isn't out and influencers have everything to gain or lose. I don't care.
>>743369618>was pretty cool for the 20 minutes that it workedWhat a faggy reddity thing to say
