Now that the dust has more than settled is 2 objectively the peak of the series?
Yeah

It's the most replayable, but I still prefer 3 overall. It's a real shame we don't live in a world where they were able to finish Shell 2. Having just a bit more gameplay would really do wonders to break up all the late-game infodumps and make the story flow better.
>>743369958Yes.
>>743371217I love 3 too but like you said 2 is more replayable. Just a better atmosphere aesthetic and guard design overall. Lowkey less annoying bosses as well.
Replaying it recently made me wish that the checkpoints were actually less forgiving. The enemies have such an advantage over you if you get spotted that I usually just stood there and let them kill me knowing that I would just respawn in the same room anyway. Especially in that one room with the conveyor belts whre it feels like there aren't any decent hiding spots to get away from the sweeping team. If death was a bit more punishing I might engage with the systems more instead of just pretending every difficulty is European Extreme.
>>743371909you can also handicap yourself. No tranq runs exist.
The game is kinda shit to play.
>>743372234It’s a dream to play just needed Shell 2 to become the GOAT. As it stands 4 is the gameplay peak of the series.
