If mid was a game. It's not horror and there's way too much backtracking. These games by talentless devs with government grants are all the same shit tier.
Seemed like an extremely easy home run too
>>743371613Explain yourself
>>743370323why did you buy a survival horror game if you've got a problem with backtracking?
>>743373321There's too much, especially on chapter 3.
>>743370323I thought it was pretty decent. my biggest complaint was the LoS and pathing for melee.
>>743370323I mostly agree, OP. Bought it because I like WW1 as a setting and saw this shilled as WW1 Signalis, so I took the plunge when it was on sale.I remember it feeling more unfair and bullshit than anything, like if Resident Evil's enemies kept respawning but the ammo and resources you need to deal with them never respawned. Then I got to some part in the south of the map where the enemies got even more obnoxious (too much HP, or everyone had grenades or flamethrowers or something) and I found myself fighting to keep playing even though I stopped having fun, so I said fuck it and just quit/uninstalled.Might be fun with god mode or cheats but idk
>>743375653The game is too autistic
>>743375848I think it was made by one guy over the span of five years or something, so it being autistic would make sense.
>>743375904Signalis had an interesting story at least. This is just bland on so many levels, there's nothing to keep you going
>>743376329Signalis had style. I didn't like the gameplay, and the story became 2deep4u slop after a while (IMO), but the style was always there and always good.>this is just bland on so many levelsI agree, but it's also kind of a product of the setting. WW1 is a literal brown and bloom washed out, desaturated hellscape of a setting. It had no choice but to be bland. But that also doesn't excuse the gameplay and plot being bland, so I agree with you on that.
>>743377510Yeah it was the style that carried it. Signalis was definitely 2deep4u, even a little pretentious. Still, there was some mistery, something that made you wanna see how it plays out.I like the art in Conscript. Yeah trenches are bland by design, but I think the game made a good job in the art directory. It looked enticing, but the magic that keeps you going is missing. Chapter 3 is what made me quit. I don't think open areas work well for a survival horror game, much less so for a top down 2d game. And don't get me started on enemies with guns. It just doesn't mash with the genre.
