1 was better

it insists upon itself

Emily's powers are cooler but objectively worse than Corvo's
The story is 1s but less interesting
Too many levels are designed with obvious solutions in mind

No daughtercest no buy

I cannot. It's one my my all-time favorites.

>O-one was better!!!
No it wasn't. Two is better in every way.

Corvo speaking.
>>
>>743380385
It's too good

The Dreadful Whale sucks as a hub location.
Otherwise, I do enjoy the game a lot, the levels are in many ways way better than the levels of DH1.

I want to explore more of the world of Dishonored though. It fucking sucks this franchise is dead forever just like how Deus Ex is dead. Fuck man, I just want more of these kind of games and there's virtually nothing on the market like them anymore, certainly not anything other than some random indie games.

Only one? God what a horrible fucking sequel, no wonder Arkane crashed and burned without Colantonio.

>The Dreadful Whale sucks as a hub location.
I'll do you one further. Idk why these games even have a hub at all. It breaks up the pacing for no apparent reason. You could weave character dialogue and interactions into inter-level segments for a more cohesive game. It took them until Prey to figure out they could just have one interconnected level even as practically every adventure game e.g. Zelda, Metroid, Dark Souls had been doing that the whole time.

any newer game similar to dishonored 2, prey or deus ex mankind divided?

>worse engine
>worse soundtrack
>worse setting
>worse villain
>worse MC
>worse Chaos system
>worse targets
>worse hub area
>worse allies
>worse Outsider
>worse DLC (yes DotO is effectively an expansion, not a standalone game)
>singlehandedly manages to kill the universe and make people uninterested in it

idk I liked the hound pits pub, it was a nice location where you could talk to the other characters to develop them more, do some short activities / quests, and just relax before you went out to another mission. They did it really well in DH1 but the location for DH2 just sucked because it was empty, just you and 1-2 other NPCs on there, nothing else major to do or hidden secrets to really discover or anything, it is just a disappointment.

The lighting in this game is deliberate and artful, and creates a sense of place that can't be accurately conveyed in screenshots.
>>
i really liked the part where it was the first game's dlc all over again and i already played it

karnaca is one of my favourite video game cities. it reminds me of trieste a lot
>>
>>743382383
Exactly. The pub was a means to advance the story and relationships and have fun little side things to do.
The Wale has literally nothing on it, ever, besides Billy and Sokolov lazing around and one single side "quest" where you open a door

>>743380385
terrible story
bad canon protagonist
once again could use more cool powers instead of bandaid powers
only 2 good levels
worse levels
worse safehouse
terrible outsider va

The entire product is worse than its first iteration.

It's not a bad game, but why does it exist? It's entirely redundant to Dishonored 1, and contributes nothing. It has a couple of nice levels but they're not like wow this completely changes everything. Deathloop is a much better sequel to Dishonored 1.

Chuds think Wyman is a dude.
Lorelets think Wyman is a woman.
Lorefags know Wyman is a dude.

Delilah is just not a compelling villain at all, and the attempts to give her a sad backstory just make her look extremely petty and pathetic.
Point being, she gets unceremoniously obliterated by a fully upgraded pistol in every playthrough. I don't care if it's a pacifist run, I'm going to shoot her so many times they'd have to turn her into a robocop to bring her back for the sequel.

It's not only that the story is forgettable, it's how it retroactively makes the old cast out to be retards. 1's epilogue tells you Emily goes down as Emily the Wise because she was a good Empress, but this game tells you she was shit for the first 15 years of her reign. Corvo fails as a Royal Protector and lets a second coup occur. Callista is killed at sea. The Outsider's backstory is revealed to you in full and sucks. Daud is made out to be a useless grandpa that dies five minutes after being met. The writer shows his hand in giving Delilah extreme favoritism. Subtletly goes out the window with characters talking out loud about Corvo being Emily's dad or the Heart belonging to Jessamine. It's just bad, feels like one of those Direct to DVD sequels from the early 2000s.
