Whomever it was that invented these shitty back buttons:

FUCK YOU

I am trying to find some pro joycons for Switch 2 and it is IMPOSSIBLE to find them without this fucking dogshit

They are SO uncomfortable, it feels like shit to hold a controller with lumps on the fucking back. Why do they ALL have this and NO alternatives??? What the fuck.

If there are any shills on this site that know of these types of joycon WITHOUT these buttons, please fucking shill it to me now and I will buy your objectively better product. Thank you.
>>
>back buttons

Seriously this shit is starting to become default with controllers, why can I not find ANY pro joycons without these?????

Are these fucking controller manufacturers shitting themselves at the idea that people might not buy their controllers if they don't include these?? They're fucking ugly and feel like SHIT
>>
So, just don't press them? Bro you control the buttons you press

It's not about pressing them you fucking idiot. It's the fact that I can feel them on my fucking fingers for the entire fucking gaming session and it's UNCOMFORTABLE. Dickhead. Why don't you learn to fucking read?

There must be some decent use case for them. I used to think they were annoying as hell as well but I’ve kinda gotten used to it. Surely they serve some kind of grand purpose.
>>
>>743388141
I like them, I use them to wall bounce in gears of war.

gamesir nova lite is the answer
>$20
>hall effect analog sticks
>wired, bluetooth, dongle
>no back paddles
>no gyroscope
>no haptic triggers
>usb-c charging port
budget gamepad for core gaming, years ahead of similarly priced DS4 clones
>>
>>743388592
Males grip our controllers at a pressure just short of cracking the plastic, these buttons are sexist.
>>
>>743389062
NTA but to be fair it's nothing to do with finger size, whatever your natural grip position is, will overlap with those R3 and L3 buttons.
>>
>>743388141
i used them when i played final fantasy 14 on pc with controller
i needed lots of buttons to take pictures of my character

Oh no OP you posted an image that looks like a closeup of Ralsei from the game deltarune.
Also yeah who the fuck designed that shit
>>
>controllers have been stagnating for over a decade, with the only improvement since the early 2000 being gyro (which has also been largely ignored on pc due to the shtity xinput being the norm)
>after years fighting troll patents, finally we get new, useful features
>op is too autistic and refuses to embrace a good change
>>
>>743388141
It's like switchfags were biologically engineered just to ruin videogames. Stupid fat fuck pedophile.
>>
>>743389241
Wait, it’s like a wireless Tegenaria Lite? I thought those don’t exist? I fucking hate asymmetrical stick layouts. It’s either DS4 or bust.
>>
>>743388141
for pc games depending where the button is could be useful modded fallout nv needs like 1 to 4 extra buttons lol
>>
I never saw the appeal of back buttons since I don't play games that would benefit from them.
>>
>>743388225
haptic is genuinely great and I want to see more non-keyboard games make use of it.

OP here.

The next time you pay vidya, you will remember this conversation. You will feel the back buttons on your fingers.

It will be the only thing you can feel and think of. You will try to forget they are there and carry on your gaming session as normal, but then the invasive thoughts of the horrible plastic lumps on the back of your controller will infest your thoughts again, and your gaming session will be ruined.

And it will happen again during the following gaming session. And the one after that. And the one after that. And the one after that. Until you finally can't take it anymore, and decide to bin your controller.
>>
>>743390045
I have a Steam Controller and regularly use the back buttons though?
>>
the trvthnuke is that "standard" controllers fucking blow for the main type of game people play now, 3D with free camera controls- and that we've needed forced iteration for ages. i'm glad it's finally happening

why do we settle for sticks with aim assist when gyro is right there?
why do i have to do a funky claw grip to control the camera and dodge in a fromsoft game when you could just slap dodge on a grip button?

You're just low IQ, OP.
Extra back buttons are crazy good, I love extra buttons so much that I got a controller with extra SHOULDER buttons
>>
>>743388387
that's like the one feature that can be defined as pro though, given normal joycons lack them but the switch 2 does support customizable GL/GR inputs.
I just wish they were supported at the game level so you could map something unique to them rather than solely you just map one of the other face buttons at the system level

That is some serious tactile autism if grazing a flat button with your fingertip makes you sperg out like this.
>>
but really the #1 thing grip buttons are a godsend for are shooters, along with gyro

people came up with dumb control schemes like "bumper jumper" because having to choose between moving your camera and jumping is abominable. with grip buttons you don't have to pick
>>
>>743390045
>The next time you pay vidya, you will remember this conversation. You will feel the back buttons on your fingers.
Yes, I will, because I love not having to claw you stupid FAT FUCK.
>>
>>743390371
This controller will last me years, fag.
My previous flydigi lasted like 5 years before I 'upgraded' and it still works perfectly fine, I gave it to my nephew
It's not like I'm buying literally every new controller that gets released
>>
Back buttons delete the need for the claw
>>
Yet I cannot find a cheap one with 4 of those on the back and hall effect. Back buttons, if well made, are amazing. Much more natural to press than those shitty face buttons. My thumbs are fucked from playing.
>>
>>743390045
why would I try to forget about buttons that I am actively using?

Anon here.

The next time you pay vidya, you will remember this conversation. You will feel the analogue sticks on your thumbs.

It will be the only thing you can feel and think of. You will try to forget they are there and carry on your gaming session as normal, but then the invasive thoughts of the horrible plastic erections on the front of your controller will infest your thoughts again, and your gaming session will be ruined.

And it will happen again during the following gaming session. And the one after that. And the one after that. And the one after that. Until you finally can't take it anymore, and decide to bin your controller.

unironically why you retarded consoleniggers should stick to consoles, holy shit
>>
>>743389660
not exactly. unfortunately for you it has an xbox-like layout with asymmetrical sticks. not a deal breaker for me even though i'm used to symmetrical sticks. but i think they're going to release a wireless tegenaria in the future if that's your thing
>>
>>743389814
Basically every game benefits from them because you won't have to stop touching the sticks to jump/dodge/attack/heal.
>>
>>743392427
Can you explain to me how Daytona USA benefits from them? Didn't think so.
>>

You can stick to the shitty default controllers if you want a more limited product. The pro controllers exist for people on the right side of the bell curve who need more than the limited default features.

Pro = Proper handles

Not shitty back buttons
>>
>>743393114
The back buttons are in a more natural position
>>
>>743393202
The thumb on the face buttons isn't a natural position?
>>
>>743388992
I'm surprised you can use any controller at all with this much autism
>>
>>743393126
No. Pro equals all pro features, meaning proper handles, HE/TMR sticks and more buttons among others.
>>
>>743393274
It's a natural position but not THE natural position. The thumb could be anywhere. It could be below the face buttons. It could be on the side of the controller. The only reason it always rests in that particular spot is because there are buttons there. You can't not rest your fingers on the back button unless you're trying to avoid it
>>

>Grip controller a little too hard

Great design, genius.
>>
>>743389467
mainly because of all these new chinese controller makers finally raised their quality enough to compete with the big controller jews and now we have hall effect sticks and triggers and all these new features in a short time

Yeah those extra buttons are great, my only complaint is the bottom padles are too far out of the grip so I take them off for non shooters. Well, nothing can be perfect.
