I tried so hard to enjoy Most Wanted, people treat it like the holy grail of racing games, and it does have a lot of style, but the game is so fucking boring, every race I'm always miles ahead of every other racer what the fuck were they thinking with this piss shit easy enemy AI that cant keep up with you? I feel no challenge at all, the maps are so easy to drive + you can slowmo time, you hit another car on the road and it feels like I hit paper. Why is this game so good again?

Burnout 2 is highly underrated, simply because Burnout 3 is better.

All of the Need for Speed games of that era are very dated but imo Most Wanted is only marginally better than Underground 1. The races are extremely repetitive, many event types were just removed from Underground 2, the Pursuit Milestones you have to get are repetitive and you just do the same shit over and over again except by about Blacklist 5, you're grinding the milestones for a couple hours avoiding spike strips or blowing through roadblocks or taking down X number of cop cars in a chase, just to do the boss in 10 minutes and do the races you need in about 30. It really just pads out the game and makes the late game a complete fucking slog. I will never understand why the common consensus is that Most Wanted is the best of the 4.

>>743394412Drifting is even worse. Drifting is the worst part of every NFS game that it's in, with my one exception being Pro Street because you have specific drift-only car setups a la GRID. I cannot fucking stand games that add a drift mode and it uses entirely different driving physics than the entire rest of the game because God fucking forbid Bobby isn't able to DORIFUTOOOO his FWD Honda without stealing some McDonald's trays.
