>Solar is its own solar system orbiting within another solar system
>Corneria and Venom are the only planets not caught within Solar's gravitational pull
>All of Corneria's and Venom's laboratories, military bases, intelligence apparatuses are on planets orbiting Solar
>Andross could've just waited for Solar to move out of the way so he could attack Corneria directly, by passing any of their system defenses and winning him the war.
This whole war is retarded.

Andross is an insane fool

Those who cross Andross will die

Solar isn't a star. It's mistaken for a brown dwarf but it's not. The star of the Lylat system is Lylat.

Wouldn't that make the rest of the planets orbiting around it moons instead? I keep reading conflicting info on what to call it.

Which is where, exactly?

This dude forgot that binary star systems are a thing.

Not to mention that Solar should be pulling the other planets off their axis if it has a gravitational pull that strong. Venom would easily be pulled in, Corneria's debatable

It's a binary star system. Lylat is an extremely large, hot, and bright Blue Giant that's not suitable for habitation. Solar has to orbit the barycenter it shares with Lylat at a distance much greater than any major objects in our own Solar System orbit the Sun. Objects orbiting Lylat at just the right distance from Solar and its own system could be in a stable equilibrium where neither Corneria nor Venom are close enough to Solar to be completely caught in its gravity well, but close enough to have their orbital periods around Lylat altered in such a way that they remain in sync with Solar's, meaning that Solar and its System remain in between them throughout the Lylat Year.

This is requires extremely specific conditions, and it would be impossible to simulate accurately, being a ten-body problem at best. So it's still wiggity-woogity Sci-fi bullshit, but it's not wholly impossible in theory.

Well, with Andross fucking everything up, it's hard to believe anything could keep itself together in this system, what with the bioweapons and massive war going on.
