Playing games for the first time SUCKS

I just hate playing games I haven't played. I HATE the process of learning new characters, slowly learning the story, slowly deciding whether or not it's worth my time. It takes HOURS and HOURS. Expedition 33 was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. So much learning. Now I just play GTA 4 again and again.

Strange, if I end up liking a game, the whole learning process is what excites me the most
>>
this only happens when you play bad games like e33

If a game has builds that actually matter and you cant just pick whatever I'm not playing it
>>
I mean I kind of get what you mean, playing a new game has a lot more friction than just playing something you've played dozens of times. But it's not that deep or serious. You just sound burnt out or something, go play whatever game you want

Also E33 is nearly Paper Mario levels of simplicity in terms of gameplay fuck are you on about

>I share a planet with 70IQ retards like this
>This "person" can vote
I remember back when I was young, and The Time Machine (2002) came out. And the idea of breeding low IQ labourers and a high IQ master race sounded so evil. Now I understand. It would be better for both parties.
>>
Yeah, you cant get into flow state unless you ingrain the mechanics and the actions follow naturally from instinct.
Unfortunately this means most successful games tend to be stuff like WoW where 30y olds log in each day to experience pretty much what they fully understand with little variation, and they only need to learn new stuff when a new expansion or raid opens up.

Explains why /v/lennials hate "modern" games
>>
>>743409773
The learning process is the most fun part of the game, troglodyte.
>>
>>743409773
Literally a low IQ take. No, seriously. Once you adopt this mentality towards things, even a hobby, you're dooming your brain to stagnation and degradation. Challenging yourself and enjoying learning new things is what keeps your brain healthy. You're dooming yourself to becoming a mindless drone. A boring coward who can't learn new things and flees to the comfort of doing the same thing over and over. Might as well mindlessly grind dailies in an MMO like a robot. AI will be a better gamer than you soon.

The learning for me is kind of fun. What I don't like is when a game loses its novelty like 10 hours in but keeps dragging on

Most games need better hooks or just letting the player play the fucking game. Take something like gow ragnarok, no one going into it half heartedly is going to slog past the intro.
>>
I'm the opposite. I love starting new games, entering new worlds, learning new mechanics, meeting new characters. As soon as the game slips into routine and stops providing novelty, I get bored very quickly. The vast majority of games do this at some point. A select few every now and then provide constant novelty by way of new characters, new mechanics, story development, new areas to explore and new art/music that they can keep me hooked for a while, But most don't.

You might have mental issues. What you are describing is not normal.
>>
Maybe you should find another hobby more in line with your aptitude.

It's a shitpost thread but I have an autist buddy that has a mental block learning new things. He regresses to being 4 years old, has zero patience (he has anger management issues even in his comfort zone), and half heartedly tries. Once he gets over that initial hump he's totally normal with his progression of learning. It's unsettling to witness at first but more so it just fucking sucks for both him and anyone taking the role of teacher.

Get up and get out of your house asap. That's dementia setting in. Move and your blood will reach your brain more, then you'll have an easier time picking up new stuff. The measure of IQ is how fast your brain can adapt to new stuff and learn, so if you spend you time sitting and doing nothing, early onset dementia comes for your faster, that's why you hate learning. Best way to keep dementia away is to move, preferably walk long distances, at least 2-3 kilometers daily.

Is this a common autistic trait? I don't like starting new things either at first but it feels more like an ADHD thing rather than autism.
>>
>>743417452
Its a mix of having difficulty absorbing new information in general due to brain differences. Also limited general knowledge means stuff thats outside of their narrow interests is harder to visualize or contextualize and it takes more work to absorb completely new information. The piece of info drops into a brain that doesn't connect into anything else, and is immediately forgotten.

The only one obsessed here is you, you reaching retard. With your reach you're probably great at giving reach-arounds, you giant faggot.
