Ive been playing this game at least 8 hours a day since I started this 4 days ago. Its been years since I was this immersed in a game. First open world game Ive ever played that is actually good. Honestly never played anything like it before, there's so much content but its actually GOOD content and I just want to keep seeing what the next thing is. Its just the right difficulty for me, where every boss fight is fun but no one has been frustrating or a wall yet. the core gameplay is fun enough that even when I see another catacomb or mine I still have fun killing everything in it and taking down the boss. the artstyle is absolutely beautiful too. I just upgraded my PC so this being my first game in 2.5k, OLED, max settings etc helps a lot but damn, I keep just stopping and staring at the environments and buildings. I feel like this first playthrough is a really special experience and nothing in vidya is going to feel this epic for a long time. I have no idea how much of the game I still have left (pretty sure stormveil and academy are the only legacy dungeons Ive beat so a decent bit) but if it keeps holding up like this, man what a masterpiece.also, heavy unsheathe is completely busted and 100% carrying my ass.

I almost always go back to playing some form of wizard no matter what other build I try. It's simply too much fun. Only dragon's Dogma dark arisen (the original) is equal in my eyes. Also, like the others said, there is an extremely aggravated schizophrenic lord and his discord knights twelve that look for every From thread to shit on it. Hollows all.

The filters get stronger though, but if you're willing to bash your head into a wall until it turns into a door, you've found the right game.I too was captivated by elden ring, 2k hours and I still make new characters. I even play to break the game without cheats to aquire weapons and play the game with them. I cheesed mogh and Radahn to access the shadowlands early and get me some shitty throwing weapon runs and that ended being really fun.

>>743420438If you finish the Siofra river area 1 you can obtain a cold lightning halberd thing and a neat gimmick talisman that increases your magic stats by 3 at the cost of defense. There's also a talisman that increases madness and sleep resist somewhere there too. It's more for the boss fight which esthetically is really cool, but if you're a bonkman you'll find yourself shouting at the boss to stop running away.

On release I played it for like 20 hours straight on release day. It's such a good game for a first time playthrough but it does lose a lot on replays since so much of the game has no purpose. Play blind/mostly blind op because you only get one first time

I do agree that putting 12 erdtree avatars or whatever was too much even if they all unlock different cracked tear flask upgrades. They've taken something away from each entry and improved so here's hoping next release has less "copy paste" as you say and sticks to more 1st time encounters. Although Duskbloods is another multiplayer like nightreign so who knows how long until another single-player focused rollslop game is pumped out
