I'm pretty sure that was a "there's two people in my head" usage of 'them', not a nonbinary thing. But it's also an optional throwaway line in a game where the story very clearly got ratfucked late in development, at a certain point it's not worth giving a shit.

Not OP, gameplay is solid. For most of the game you've got three guns each with their own overheat bar. No ammo. Rifle for basic damage, blue shotgun for cracking shields, purple sniper for cracking purple shields and dealing burst damage. Double jump, dash, grapple onto tether points. Movement feels good, guns have Metroid Prime lock-on. Maps are cool with some good visuals. Story's neat but a little disconnected, feels like a roguelite that was reshuffled into a linear game.

Campaign's about 8 hours long, side objectives don't matter except for the chests in the hub area that give you upgrades for your guns as you unlock more movement abilities.

the game reminds me a lot of like an underbaked ps3 game
environments are cool but theres a lot of walking from point a to b, a surprisingly low amount of combat,but its also broken up by platforming
the arsenal needed like 2 more guns,theres only 4
if you can get it on sale for under 15 id pick it up

I played this recently and after that a couple other bits stood out to me as slightly woke too, but looking back I can't recall anything before that line so I wonder if they deliberately pushed anything woke to after the refund window

Fun game though, I'll probably vote it best game nobody played at the vidya game awards
