Because the developers either have shit resources at their disposal, or are shit at allocating those resources. I feel that trying to do a new race at the same time as all these other reworks would be a resource drain without much reward.

What I'd really like is for them to show some actual combat content with evolved jobs (not just whacking a target dummy), assuming they actually did it right around the new jobs.
Way too many people came out of last fanfest thinking evolved mode is just some watered down retard version of the jobs, and I think the way they showed it off was a big reason why.

Seeing evolved mode interact with the updated boss design like a demo in a new normal trial or something would be nice...
