Brave you to attempt to even have a FFXVI thread. Most people didn't like it and don't care to talk about it. I personally enjoyed it, and might pick it up on PC and do a fresh playthrough. I never did play the DLC's, but I heard only Rising Tide was decent. The Fallen Echo's one or whatever was garbage. I also really loved the OST; has a lot of great tracks. Our Terms is my favorite. Trash game will forever stay trash
I think I actually got every steam trophy for this one.Still very mid, the game just abandons any pretense of storytelling for anime le big bad tropes.Hugo gets shafted, Barnabas barely does anything other than muh rival and pretends to be Vergil atop temenigru, Cid and Benedikta get offed way too early.

>>743425375Cid was the mentor figure, so him dying is a stereotypical/classic trope. It just wasn't done in a great way. Benedikta was an annoying bitch and so was Hugo. Frankly every "Villain" in the game was infuriating, but maybe that just tells you they at least do a good job making them. Barnabas was built up to be this intimidating bad guy, but later we learn he is a mommy's boy who wants to fuck his mother and is literally insane. I'm not praising the storytelling or writing all that much as most characters weren't very memorable. I think a lot of people liked Cid, so killing him off early kinda sucked. Joshua was cool to me, sorta wish he played more of a role but he had the LE SICKNESS and couldn't do much despite having the healing powers of the phoenix.
