Was this game really as decent as boomers say it is or is it just a simple case of nostalgia goggles? I'm on a Disney vidya marathon, don't ask. Last one I played was A Bug's Life and it was very mid tbqh.
Sorry for the crusty image btw. I'm on my Friend's Device right now and it's the only one he had.

It’s actually pretty good. Great ost, solid set of levels, for the most part can complete levels in one go and it’s short

I'm sure it was cool as a kid but there isn't much for an adult with no nostalgia

It's a neat collectathon, but nothing all that special and pretty short too.
Music is pretty great though.

Go play it and see it for yourself.

I don't know but Toy Story 3 game was pretty good

I 100%d this as a kid and its fucking shit compared to spyro and crash

Has really cool levels being a small toy navigating a human sized world but shits the bed in the end with the last fourth of the levels being a boring slog.

Was reading the tvtropes the other day and was surprised to read that it had a 2nd version (for consoles!) where they edited the mexican gunslingers to be white and blonde because some people protested!!

>The PlayStation 1 version of Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! exists in two distinct versions due to a cultural controversy surrounding a "Mexican bandit" enemy character. The original release (v1.0) featured a gunslinger character wearing a sombrero, a poncho, and a bandolera. Because some groups found this to be an offensive stereotype, Activision and Disney altered the character in future pressings (v1.1) to a blond-haired, standard cowboy.

its a fun lil game

why they couldn't just ignore the people who found it offensive is a mystery

I really find it interesting how this would work in 1999 without live service games that get constant updates and without twitter and social media.

if you specifically mean decent then yes. controls well enough, the miniature scale gimmick is obligatory and well executed, it's a neat little licensed novelty. is it also pretty basic and prone to that level syndrome in the second half of the game also, yes. it's decent, not great.

It's honestly pretty darn good.
Both Toy Story 1 and 2 adaptations were great.

It's a pretty good 3D collectathon. Nothing crazy, but if you like those kinds of games and like Toy Story then you'll have a good time.
Great OST too

it's well made, very ps1 era collectathon without the jank of low budget titles
>>
>>743427346
it was decent on consoles and great kino on pc (higher resolution, fps, better texture placing tech)

the only critiqe i had is that they rushed with the production at the end and final boss is just 3 of the latest boses at the same time
great level design
"makes you feel like a toy" but unironicaly

What's the Disney vidya marathon all about?
