me playing old game without guide
I play all old RPGs with a guide open.
>>743428592This. I played all the old FF games with the chest and secretes guide open on my Laptop. >but! Nah, they made all the secrets cryptic and stupid on purpose so they could put it in a guide, I'm literally playing the game as it was meant to be played.
Many old games(DOS era) practically require you to read the manual because game itself tells you nothing, not even button inputs, and back then inputs were not standartized like they are now, so good luck learning the controls by trial and error.
>>743428524this nigga is a masochist>>743428592yesyet it ain't no free rideI've played Arx Fatalis and found out through conversations stuff that walkthroughs or even reddit/forum discussions have not mentionedso as an advice for any nigger or cat playing an RPG: just use ur fucking head, it's the only way not to waste your time
>continue ask everyone about everything even though they eventually straight up start calling you a retarded faggot for asking everyone the same exact shit every time>keep asking anyway, get to lower ward, keep asking everyone why is it called the lower ward>about half way through decide to take the hint from the game that I'm being an incel and stop exhausting everyone's dialogue trees with the question's I already know>the only way to learn that the key to sealed siege tower is to not want to enter the siege tower is to ask a random useless child in the market in the lower ward why is the lower ward called the lower wardhow were you supposed to know
>>743428592I play all puzzle games with a guide open.
>>743428524literally me playing resident evil 1 (I never touched horror games as a kid) and it feels like there's some bullshit that you're supposed to know from the start of the game
>don’t use a guide>play the whole game without knowing about an extremely helpful tip that the game literally never tells you about but it would make the game 2x as enjoyable >learn it after the point where it will be useful>get annoyed

>>743432151I want this
>>743428524Me playing RE3
>>743428524Every time i play a old game i download the manual/every text info that came with the game, and when you do that you realise that these old games where actually very easy to a person who can read.Zelda 1 for example, the manual literally has half of that game's map and the location of the first few dungeons.
>>743428524I don't get it. The first virgin playthrough without a guide, wiki or spoilers, is the best playthrough you can achieve. Why do you see this as a negative? I try to leave games I want to replay for years till I forget them and play them like the first time again, but a good memory makes it almost impossible. It's the main reason I don't want to pick up Silksong so soon after my last playthrough, I remember each and every boss' attacks, which path to pick, which charms and upgrades to rush, it's like a curse.
>>743428524>>743428592This but only if the guide is in the official manual like pic rel
>>743428524be yourself
>>743434282I think you need to play some older games, bro. You'll get your ass destroyed without a guide.
>mfw playing ninja gaiden 2 without even having internet>died 100 times by chapter 4Rawdogged that shit over a month. Best experience in a game i've ever had really despite the non-stop gitgud raping.
>>743435906that's what u get (or used to get lol) for piracy
>>743435830I'm an unc, bro. I've played games on their release date that are older than you. Back then the internet wasn't even an option because it became mainstream in my country around 20 years ago. The only option for a guide in the usual sense that I had, was to buy an overpriced PC magazine the next month with the solutions to the riddles, which was pretty easy to avoid.
