Attrition was the perfect game mode for a shooter>AI mobs meant even when someone wasn't good at PVP he could still contribute >combined with titans it meant each match had lots of variables going on>game has naturally fast and fluid movementwhy wasn't it ripped off? And why TF2 died anyway? It was a great game
Titanfall would've lived if they marketed towards oldfags instead of CODtards
>>743442823>why wasn't it ripped off?I think the game's world building would have to center around it and the style of gameplay would too. It works with Titanfall because you play as super soldiers basically so slaughtering dumb ai grunts doesn't feel as silly when you zoom out and look at it.>And why TF2 died anyway? It was a great gameIt's because TF2 couldn't figure out what it wanted to be. The game (esepcially attrition) is a super casual experience, team coordination barely matters nor is required, but the movement and shooting requires a lot of skill and is dificult to master. BUT the game also provides really easy alternatives to these, can't grapple for shit? Use the wallhacks class or A-wall. Can't aim for shit? Sit around with your dick in your hands in the back of the map with a hitscan gun.I don't think it helps either that the movement is so fast and TTK so low that strategy doesn't really matter. There's no pickups or power ups to use map control on.TF2 is the world's most highly skilled trickshotting simulator with a fun mech game tacked on.Titans are definitely a different story and require more teamplay and whatnot to survive, but if you roam in one big pack that's really all you need to do>>743442943If they went with both it would've probably printed more money. I think half of the relative lack of success of TF2 was the art style change from 7th gen grit to hero shooter future
