The entire reason why the series even exists at this point in the west is because of the petition to localize 5. They took a bet that 5 and 0, which they were localizing one after the other because of said petition, would determine if the games sell at all in the west. Then the period of releases the PS4 had where only a few things coming out caused people to pivot to third parties is what allowed stuff like Yakuza 0, Digimon Cyber Sleuth, Nier Automata, and Persona 5 to thrive.

0 DC is garbage. It ruined the font, removed the Walkman, and added in several cutscenes that not only add nothing to the game but directly ruin parts of the story.
K1 PS5 isn't bad at all, it's just unnecessary.
K2 PS5 is only good on PC, and even then on PC it's ass because it can't fix the 60 FPS issues the legacy version could. Meanwhile everyone on PS5 has to just deal with Toylets being three times harder and forced to have worse combat physics just because they bumped it up to 60 FPS.
Ishin Kiwami is pure trash and a 100% downgrade in every way to the original. The only people who defend it are those who didn't play the original. The new characters don't fit at all, changing Takechi and Kondo literally spoils the story while also getting rid of unique performances, they removed the entire epilogue cutscene, it completely unbalanced an already unbalanced gameplay system with the reworked Armor system, damage reworks, and cards, the Seal system is infinitely worse than the Symbol system, it has even more grind than the original game, the new element system breaks combat to its core since it was impossible to spam it like that in the original so now all your endgame swords perpetually stunlock, it cut content from the original, and it pads out the game with the new Memoir system.
