I feel it doesn't matter what we do with our lives, because we all soon die and lose everything we have made. The homeless junkie and the Silicon Valley billionaire will both end their short time on Earth in the exact same way, with the death of consciousness and the return to non-existence. "Build a legacy," they tell us. But a legacy only matters to the spiritual man, the man who believes he'll be sitting on his heavenly cloud and looking down and watching his legacy unfold in the mortal realm. If you don't believe in such fairytales, this notional legacy is worth fuck all. You know it and I know it. Now I want to ask: are there any videogames that speak to this problem of ours? I want to play a real nihilist game, but I haven't been able to find one.

He said it in one of the Game Boy titles.
