Is there any real reason to do the DK event things? Is it basically just achievements mixed with FOMO since they're limited time? I blew through the arcade stuff because it was piss easy and let me play some of the greatest games of all time, but I was too lazy to swap cartridges for Bananaza. The game was incredible, but I don' like forced time shit so I didn't buy the DLC and I get the feeling the challenges are all that way.

What's the strat for the latest event?

Prioritize Rock-Ensemble Beat, Storage Groove and Batteroid Demolisher. Spend the first few rounds doing Void Goals and collecting fossils, also get the other Bananzas that are along the route. Once the Void goals move back to the upper sublayer, you can disregard them. Use emerald chips to ugrade your storage to 10 chunks, then make sure your Storage Groove is maxed out (99 chunks stored). After that, start storing different materials to get the Ensemble bonus. Try to get at least 6 or 7 different materials. You can use the other Bananza forms to avoid accidentally losing you stored chunks.Collect more fossils from the upper layers and go after Batteroids once you have enough perks. There's a gauntlet at the top of the first layer with 3 Batteroids and another 2 along the cliff that respawn. There's 2 more in the lava cave and 2 on the bottom layer in a water area (those are more difficult cause they die without giving emeralds if they fall into the water). You should be getting huge amounts of emeralds by killing Batteroids if you have enough perks and different materials stored.

So what exactly IS the underground, anyways? I see it as an expansion of the idea the Lost World presented in DKC2. So Krocodile Kore is was some layer within the earth that was accessible from Crocodile Isle, that was their layer. The earth is filled with anthropomorphic animals, but the Kremlings are the only ones that breached the surface besides Kongs, maybe. If the blue ones and the elder are related to DK and co. So that's why we never saw any of these animal races before, and why we don't see Kremlings anywhere but the end, and the end layers aren't their home and have very little in the ways of things characteristic to them. It might be the Kremlings were the first among them to emerge, and thus they gained a head start on technology and expanding their civilization into a force to be reckoned with. Like this idea that Shigeru Miyamoto hates Rare or hates the Rare version of Donkey Kong or whatever the current variation of the story is. By all known accounts, this is simply not true. He was the producer on DKC and he was in contact with them almost every day when they made that game, in his own words. He approved of the designs. He co-signed all the decisions that they made. If Nintendo actually hated Rare and the DKC design so much then why did they wait like 23 years to change the design? It's a story that doesn't have much logical sense. And you have to go through all the extra mental gymnastics of the fact that the current design still retains a large amount of elements of the DKC design. You have to ignore the fact that Bananza is full of DKC nods and inspirations. The point of inventing these corporate rumors doesn't seem to be to find the available evidence, it seems to be about storytelling.
