Warframe has no story at all, unrelated things happen and are not explained after you get the bolt off your neck. Every big story mission is like a new episodic TV show with a different director. If you're in multi and nobody else is doing the mission other people who queue up can join you while your mission is loading or if you're already in it. They'll simply spawn in. 4 players max. Its best to run solo until you've comfortable then use multiplayer when you want to get through missions faster with other people helping kill everything. Also multiplayer is great when you're hunting specific relic parts. When you complete a wave in certain mission types you get to choose between everyones relic instead of just your own. You can get stuff from other people you don't even have a relic for. And everyone shares the loot, they get their own copy so you can pick what you want
